Just five years earlier, then General Thomas Gage's men fired on a crowed of #BostonLivesMatter organizers, killing black man Crispus Attucks and four others, and wounding six more.

+1 - Love it!

I thought it was about ammo. Some things never change.

National Guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned assault weapons were ambushed by elements of a para-military extremist faction. Military and law enforcement sources estimate that 72 were killed and more than 200 injured before government forces were compelled to withdraw.

Redcoats weren't National Guard, they were mostly Irish and Scots with English officers.

1775 Concord: “The whole country was by this time alarmed. The minute men, volunteers and militia assembled from all quarters and posted themselves amongst trees in houses and behind walls along the road through which the British troops were to pass whilst the militia who had been engaged at the bridge reinforced with others hourly coming in from the country were ready to press upon their rear” - Stedman,pp.117-118=
“The History of the Origin, Progress, and Termination of the American War,” Stedman, C. 1794, Volume 1,

Many of those snipers were 60-70 year old veterans of the French and Indian War. My great-great great-great grandfather was 70 years old when he fought the British on Bunker Hill.

That’s how the history would have been written if the revolutionaries lost the war. The war was not popular with the public, either.

Some will refuse, and they will be dealt with, harshly. Most will follow orders.

-- The NFA of 1934 IMO was beyond the scope of what was OK under 2A. --

The US Supreme Court case, Miller, agrees. However, the Miller case has been misconstrued by every court that took it up, including the Heller court. Another case that has NEVER, not one time, been cited for what it says, rather has been cited for the opposite of what it says, is Presser.

I think you have far more knowledge of SC and precedent issues than I. But to a truly lay person, I think these decisions are really messed up too.

Cute. I think I’ve seen this before around here, but timely, nonetheless.

You must know the Mother In Law I once had to deal with. I have absolutely no doubt that if any type of ‘official’ order (or decree) went out that we had to surrender our firearms then she would be cheerleading it and no doubt one of the first to suggest to officials that I might have somethings they would dearly love to know about.

Oh, no, never trust the Mother In Law!

Yes, it’s been done on a semi-regular basis several times over the years. I suppose it’s kind of old hat to some here having read this manner of thing more than a few times, but perhaps there are some new FReepers that never considered it so most of us just kind of let it go because of that.

Hope it inspires some.

It's been out since 2014, so I wouldn't be surprised if it had been posted previously. I did do a search, but didn't find anything. You're right - it's absolutely timely...

And this, people, is how the American Revolution began on April 19, 1775
= = = = = = = = = =

Excellent!!!!!

However...If the Indians who stood on the shore ‘greeting the new arrivals’ had exercised proper control of their borders, the Rev War etal would probably not have taken place.

‘They’ say history repeats itself and if you wait long enough, it will come back to haunt you.

When Will WE protect our shores or do we wait until we are completely overwhelmed and sent off to ‘reservations’ in the most remote part of the country and have to wait a couple of hundred years for someone to help us set up our own laws and gradually pick at our one time conquerers and join forces with the later invaders to take on what is now the establishment....

Coming soon to a theater near you....

Not in the slightest! With as good as this is, I was entirely surprised I didn't come across it here before. Lol
