I came out in the 1980s to family and friends during the AIDS epidemic. I saw a lot of friends get sick. I saw a lot of friends die. I went to a lot of funerals.
It was a scary time to be gay.
Like most gay Americans I don’t wear my sexuality on my sleeve. I go about my daily business. I try not to harm anyone. I love my family. I love my friends. I love my country.
I’ve been a conservative activist for years. But today I’m coming out as a conservative gay activist.
In the past few years I’ve built one of the most prominent conservative websites in America. I created The Gateway Pundit because I wanted to speak the truth. I wanted to expose the wickedness of the left. I was raised to love my country. Today I serve my country by defending her from the socialist onslaught.
But, last night 53 gays were slaughtered at an Orlando club.
Despite this obvious Islamic attack Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are still in denial.
I can no longer remain silent as my gay brothers and sisters are being slaughtered at dance clubs.
There is only one man who can lead this nation and protect all gays and all Americans. His name is Donald Trump.

I understand why the club was targeted. But it could have been a mall or a ball game or a theater. There are enough infidels in any of those places to provide a good jihadist his motivation. The club shooting is not worse because it involved gays, but that is how it is being played. Will this be what it takes for them to realize that “we sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm”? I won’t hold my breath.

As a social conservative, I will always feel sorry for and pray for this dysfunctional lifestyle. Having said this, I support there right to defend themselves. Frankly I cannot stand the flamboyant in-your-face deviants, but I have respect for those who shut the _____ up about their sexuality and just do a day’s work! These poor souls in Orlando did not deserve this holocaust caused by a demonic soul. I just wish early on somebody had a concealed weapon who could have terminated this vermin early!
They will be welcomed so long as they have the courtesy to keep their abominable behavior out of our faces. We don’t need to know about the perversions in which they choose to engage.

The mobbed up clubs I used to go to in Brooklyn, this guy would have taken out 10 or more people, but that’s about the most before bouncers, owners and owners’ friends shot him dead.

There was an off duty officer there, who confronted the terrorist. News accounts say he was the first to fall.
I didn’t know either. We need more gay conservatives out there defending us straight conservatives. We can agree to disagree on what the gay thing is, but damned if I’m not always grateful and happy to meet gay and black conservatives, or anyone that goes against the party line, marching orders, or plantation. And they never wear it on their sleeves or join the so-and-so rights marches and protests. Good for these people.
I have known quite a few gays that work, own businesses and pay taxes (I come from SF bay area) and vote republican because they are fiscally conservative. They don’t think what they do in the bedroom is the most important issue.
