Thanks for the info, Augie. We had a cool, wet spring too, so my tomatoes are a bit behind, plus I often have trouble with blossom end rot, so I think I'll give the foliar feeding a try. I learned about using lime too late (for adding it to the transplant hole), though I've added calcium to my water and that may help. The tomatoes are in containers, so that ups the need for nutrients of all kinds.

This is the first year using fish emulsion for me too, but I've been doing root feeding--with my tomatoes, sweet peppers, chard, parsnips, zucchini, and winter squash. They're all doing better than last year. I also use liquid seaweed.
