The University of Kansas has added a new dean to oversee diversity, equality, and inclusion for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Jennifer Hamer will start her appointment as Associate Dean on July 1st.

Hamer is currently a professor in African and African-American Studies at KU.

Officials told 13 NEWS that Hamer will work to strengthen retention of underrepresented students and faculty.

TOPICS: Local News
KEYWORDS: diversity; education; fail; ku
Local (ultra-liberal) university hires 'Diversity Dean' to pre-empt future BLM actions. For those who aren't familiar with KU, they 'celebrate' diversity, and seemingly hire professors exclusively from abroad.

Anyway, I looked up Jennifer Hamer - it appears that her degree is in being a professor:

"Jennifer Hamer's general area of study is the sociological and interdisciplinary qualitative study of families, especially those within the United States. Within this broad field, her primary research interests are African American fathers, mothers, and families, especially those that are working class."

“She is former Editor of Race and Society, the past official journal of the Association of Black Sociologists; founder and former Editor of Black Women, Gender, and Family; and founding Editor of Women, Gender, and Families of Color”

In other words, she has a worthless degree (like many other thousands of graduates) and only cares about skin color.

So a 'professor' of two imaginary, hyperspecific subjects is qualified to preside over a theoretically infinitely diverse student body?

It's like taking someone who can only make toast and making them head chef at Morton's.

The minority population of Kansas is about 13%. I suspect that at least 13% of the university's professors and students are minorities. So what is her point again?

Smiling shark alert!

Dean Hamer will give you a fair trial for your thoughtcrime before she hangs you.

The only role of such a “Dean” is to protect all black faculty and students from any form of legitimate disciplinary action, and to defend all ridiculous complaints from said groups. In other words, all black people at KU will now enjoy limitless immunity.

By lowering academic standards of course. Todays 4.0 gpa was yesterdays 2.0.

They’ve accomplished absolutely nothing in their lives. They are given a high-paying job to bring in other non-performers and to blame Whitey for their failures.

The University of Kansas has added a new dean to oversee diversity, equality, and inclusion for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Not to oversee quality of course, quality of Professors, quality of the campus facility itself. No to oversee that all 57 genders are represented, that all religions (except Christianity) are represented, that all races, nationalities, skin colors, shades of skin colors etc. etc. etc. are excepted into the college. This of course has nothing to do with their qualifications grades wise.

Memo
Attention HR Department
Subject: “D & I” Madness

We had better think twice about doing any corporate recruiting at KU. We would be crazy to bring anyone on board, even as a summer intern, who is contaminated by the D & I madness. There is grave risk to our corporate culture of harmony, discipline, dedication to truth and hard work. These are values that are completely foreign to people who have this infection.

I remember when I was in college. I studied what classes and prerequisites I needed to advance my degree. I then signed up for said classes. I then attended said classes, and did the work assigned in said classes, and took tests in such classes until I proved I had mastered the material to the universities satisfaction. I did this for several years until I had completed all of the classes the university determined were needed to be awarded a mechanical engineering degree. I did all of this with zero interaction with any student government, the color or sex of whomever happened to be sitting next to me or who was teaching the class had zero bearing on how well I learned thermodynamics, for example. if I was in school today I would probably be kicked out of every university because 100% of my time would be coming up with new and improved ways to cause triggers and anguish to the safe space crowd

Well, engineering is sort of different because you have to deal with actual physical constraints, like the law of gravity, that don’t know about race or sex.

Most of these creeps come from mickey-mouse subjects where you can just make things up and no one can actually prove what’s right or wrong.

Wonder how many of their “diversified” students or faculty are math or science majors, or if they actually still teach those subjects.

Both my kids graduated from KU in the 1980’s. Was a great school then, albeit much more liberal than K State.
