Not seen it, but I know the professional Left is pissed because they think it is critical of Syrian (etc.) refugee admission.
Which, by the way, is horse hockey. The movie was greenlit three years ago before any of that was an issue.
Someone was prescient! Trump is riding the wave.

It’s not a great movie but entertaining. The red bird, “Red” sure reminded me of Donald J Trump!

Yes! I caught the coexist but missed the significance of the green ‘pigs’. Since I haven’t played Angry Birds, I assumed they were part of the game. I definitely thought Red’s emergence as the leader reminded me of Trump’s rise. Initially ostracized due to his anger and personality, the other bird-folk rally to him in time of dangerous invasion.
The green pigs are part of the original game, but I think the timing of the release of the film (in view of the election) is interesting. I liked it better than the reviews would have me believe. Audience I saw it with (suburban east SF Bay Area) was clapping at the end.
