Virgin's first-ever Boeing 747, called Lady Penelope, was retired last year

Lady Penelope had its first commercial flight in 1994 and served the Crawley-based airline, which was co-founded by Sir Richard Branson, for 21 years until its final flight from New York to London last September.

‘Based on the buyer's needs. We have all of the capabilities to disassemble and transport the plane in sections. ‘It is also possible to section out the plane out if you only require the fuselage, cockpit or the wings.’

Could live in it. Do you need to spool up the engines to get air conditioning?

A delightful second floor!
The wings would provide a nice place to work on the pick up; pull the engine if needed!

You can buy it now for $900,000.

You could fly it around the country, and instead of towing a car, you could tow a Piper Cub behind it.

It’s a shame that these plans are simply too upside down to refurbish, and they have few economically feasible routes today. The four engines are very expensive to operate/ maintain and just not as fuel-efficient. Still a fabulous feat of engineering, though.

The insulation is so good, no AC needed!
You may need to open a window to stay warm!

I wonder if my HOA will let me put that thing in my front yard... it would make a unique lawn ornament.

That Euro parts box has Lucas electronics; you would never get all the way home!

And they simply will not start in the rain.

Maybe, just maybe if you painted a large Stars & Bars on it, and called it a political statement?

Your mileage may vary.

Yea, but it clears the air of any mosquitos as a bonus.

I was thinking of parking it next to my mobile home, and installing a deck under one wing, and a breezeway under the other! LOL!

Might want to check with Jack Ma over at Alibaba.

I have heard that they are big on ‘dodgy’ deals?
