CBS ^ | 5-25-2016 | Mike Gantry

“Eleven pages! You’ve got to be kidding me! No wonder they can’t give the magazine away. Can’t give it away. This is a magazine from my childhood. This is a magazine that I never, ever didn’t as a kid read from cover to cover.” “I’m sure to soccer fans this is an enormous event, which, God bless them, I have no issue with. But mainstream America doesn’t even know — if I go out and poll the newsroom right now, no one’s ever heard of this event. My guys in here didn’t even know what it is, nor did I.”

It reminds me of gay Disney's ESPN "Body Issue," where they thought sports fans would want to look at nude black sports athletes. Yes, every little boy wants to see his favorite ball player butt naked. Disney has their finger on the pulse of what America wants!

And now, we all want to read about the Soccer! It's sweeping the nation. You know, that guy? He kicks the ball in that championship- I forget the name of it. But it's what is trending!

The sports media is overwhelmingly liberal.

You helped open the borders and then get pissed off when it effects you?

It’s Tuesday in Obamaland. :)

The left keeps trying to mainstream soccer in their attempt to drag us down in the world with the same agenda as Hussein.

It enrages them no one gives a shiite about it after all this effort..........

Of course they went with Prince Fielder for baseball. Truly typical body for baseball, for sure. Why not Bartolo Colon?

Sports Illustrated is to sports fans what the New York Times is to Republicans. It vies with HBO’s “Real Sports” on who can be more “progressive” and less relevant to the fans.Left wing owners and even more left wing editors and writers. Don’t expect SI or HBO to do an investigation on how Curt Schilling was treated or to say something complimentary about NASCAR. Their coverage of soccer is propaganda to desensitize Americans as their borders are opened to the world. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world and as world citizens, Americans must learn to like it.

Let the market decide.

Beisbol. Sorry.

IIRC, they were trying to push a pro soccer league here in the US as far back as the late 60s. It was even carried by one of the three major networks. Fifty years later and it is still a dog.

In Los Angeles, the mexicans refer to the Dodgers as “The DOY-yers.” I always got a kick out of that. I mean, before I left with my entire family for a place with no mexicans.
