NOGALES, Ariz. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers hungry for a drug bust seized more than a pound of meth-stuffed burritos in Arizona on Friday.
Authorities at the Port of Nogales said they stopped a woman for further inspection after she crossed through a pedestrian gate on May 20.
The 23-year-old claimed to have a bag of burritos, but a CPB narcotics-detection canine led officers to more than $3,000 worth of meth, authorities said.

Maybe the dog only wanted a burrito. My dogs alert on bags of fast food like crazy.
Good one. That’s thinking outside the box.
Meth burritos? That must produce one Hell of a fart.
Probably healthier than most of the stuff on Taco Bell’s menu.

Hungry for a drug bust? Those guys interdict millions of dollars in drugs a month. I seriously doubt they are HUNGRY for a drug bust. I would suggest Christy Turner, WOKV - Jacksonville, Fla. make trip to the Arizona border before writing another story about drug smuggling in order to avoid making herself look even stupider. Just yesterday, BP made a million plus dollar bust just south of Gila Bend on the Goldwater Bombing Range. Yes, Christy Turner they were illegals, probably cartel mules smuggling drugs.
Hell, the Sheriff’s Deputies here (60 miles north of the border) make bigger bust than that weekly.
However that $3,000.00 meth bust interests me. $3,000.00 ain’t a drop in that ocean, I suspect Burrito Lady was a sacrificial decoy for something else. Maybe bigger shipment right behind her.
I didn’t think you were allowed to bring food across the border. If the line at the bridge moves too fast I always have to throw away the carnitas I haven’t finished before crossing.
Notice they didn’t state her name, give a picture or her legal status.
