A good song by a talented man.

The words are particularly good.

Watched it. Beautiful. But how did they right a song about my life before I was born?

Going to jump off the Verrazano now, take care. JK

Sometimes I can't listen to these songs of my youth because they are just too poignent. Other days the memories are just good memories.

God, i’m about to cry lol.

I wasted so many years. (didn’t seem like it at the time”

misspent the youth (thought I wasn’t)

thought I had forever (I didn’t)

took friends and GFs for granted (didn’t know I wouldn’t be 20 and strong and a loner forever)

ouch lol

Thanks for posting. One song led to another, and we thoroughly enjoyed. Roy Clark is so much more than Hee Haw.

I’ve learned that traditional mother/father families are the most important thing. Everyone should get right to it and have one while they are young.

yeah, I messed up really bad on that front. Waited and waited till I was REALLY set to have kids and then got injured at 37, which i’m still recovering from.

And there ain’t another ride on the merry go round.

But it is what it is and I try to give as much love to nephews and nieces and cousins’ kids as possible.

Funny, I’m Italian from a huge family and though I would have one.

Like the song tells, you get cocky and distracted and the years disappear.

But what you said is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT correct!!!!

it was the basic point of “Of Human Bondage”, the author said later.

yeah wow. That one hit home!

Each human life lived is unique, but there’s a CLOSE replica out there.

And when they write a song that is pretty much your life, it can hit ya hard.

I can’t believe you perfectly put into words what I feel when a certain song comes on! Music brings up so many emotions & feelings. Some bring back the yearning of youth & others break your heart again. Thank you ; )

Sometimes I can't listen to these songs of my youth because they are just too poignent. Other days the memories are just good memories.

I frequently find depth in those old tunes that I failed to perceive or appreciate when I was a youngster. The occasional pang of regret, sorrow or longing is okay - it reminds me that I'm still alive.

The people I truly feel sorry for are the younger generation, whose music will offer so few poignant feelings in twenty-plus years.

Well, that’s the worst of today’s music. Even the “good” stuff is shallow and insipid.
