I have owned 7 or 8 and they were all Colt. Either H-Bar or sporter. All had 20 inch barrels.
I can’t speak for the other makes but every one of mine were about as close to perfect as a gun gets. Extremely accurate, good triggers, almost no recoil and totally reliable.
I could point out that Larue is just down the blacktop from me a couple of hundred miles.
But I like to jump into the shallow end first. Like hell. I don’t think you can contact Customer Support there for less than $3k :)
That is a long gun though. With a muffler, maybe, I could be cool with that. What’s the law, 16 inches? With the supressor?
Something I can keep the squirrels around here trimmed down a bit might be fun. Nobody needs to contact GPD, occifer.
LOL!
I would also note that I hate it when people offer suggestions that are totally outside the scope and parameters of the question, I know nothing about the AR platform.
Yeah, the M&P, guy over on the Cowtown side sells them sometimes for $499.
With ammo purchase, bwahahahaha, hell I want a dozen extra mags.
Good Luck Chuck!
Great post, btw.
You really need an AR-12.....
I think the law is 16 for a rifle and 18 for a shotgun. I would leave a little bit extra tho.
Well, you are not the first. My ex-boss has a really nice looking stainless 7.62, he put a scope on it and everything and loves the little monster.
This is worthy advice.
CDNN had Ruger piston ARs on sale for under $1000. Good rifles.
A man after my own heart... 20 years in the bike biz... Serottas, Colnagos... etc...
But guns have been the thing since nearly forever...
My preference is a plain 16" flat-top carbine with a "mid-length" barrel and gas tube, with the pic rail on the gas block instead of the old-style fixed front sight. That way, you can add folding iron sights and/or red dot or scope.
Put a good trigger in it and enjoy.
As for me, I’ll go with my AR-7. It jams all the time, but makes for a handy club.
Can’t go wrong with a Daniel Defense AR15 rifle (20” barrel)
Bench-rested, mine’ll blow the balls off a fly at 100 yards.
Well, I started to voice my support of Hillary Clinton for dogcatcher here in Garland, but she couldn’t handle it. Some other bitch would bite her and then it would be on the YouBoob and all that.
Stay safe FReeper.
Got a Rock River AR15. I have run thousands of rounds of Wolf steel cased ammo through with nary a jam. Oh, that it was as easy to strip and clean as the AK.
Thanx Chaz, that is a cool one fo sho.
The best weapon to have is the one you have at the time it’s needed.
Use it when needed and keep it parked in between.
Buy a 300 blackout caliber complete rifle.Add a suppressor and a night vision sight and you’re good to go.
