I can’t speak for all Trump supporters, but I don’t think very many of them think of Trump compared with Christ or vise versa.

What I do know is that some folks who get wrapped up a bit too much in religion, see things that mean something to them. They see a similarity in some context. So what?

Does this mean they think Trump is Christ? Of course not.

Some folks lead simple lives and it gives them comfort to see something that they think is similar, Trump to Christ.

Jesus talked to the masses and they listened intently. Trump does the same thing. My..., how dangerous!

This is just plain silliness.

Would I make something out of someone thinking Trump shared some characteristics with Christ. Folks, I would smile and agree with the woman and let her gain comfort from it. It’s a harmless musing.

To write an article and title it, Donald ‘Jesus’ Trump is just sick. It seeks to make something out of this small thing that had meaning for a simple person.

I think it’s actually nice that she was thinking in those terms, even if I probably wouldn’t share the feeling this evoked for her.

Lots of people see meanings that others don’t. It isn’t evil. It isn’t vile. It’s just people finding comfort in something interesting to them.

I don’t equate Donald Trump with Jesus. I don’t think it is fitting. If I saw someone here expressing that, I’d probably try to address is in a manner that might cause them to tone it down a bit. I still don’t see it as something to get upset about, or be disturbed to the extent this writer seems to be.

There are some very strange people out there these days. I’m not talking about the people who compare some trait of Trump’s to Christ’s traits.

I’m talking about someone with so much time on their hands, they let something meaningless like this cause them the vapors.

This is a very strange season for those who don’t like Trump. They’re seeing demons behind every action of his supporters.

Pure silliness this...

People are naturally compelled to seek God.

If they reject the true God, they will make an idol of something or someone. That is the appeal of cult figures like Obama and Trump.

Do you get pleasure posting these Trump smears one after the other?

"I am asking seriously, can you show me an article where Cruz supporters think he is the Messiah."

Cruz appeals to people who already have a Messiah.

I think we should work to get them banned.

The problem isn't with what he's saying. The problem is that he has only been saying them during a season when he's come out to run for the nomination of a -- at least nominally -- conservative party.

Now, you can say he's undergone a conversion. Fair enough. But the problem is, whenever he's up against the wall or shooting from the hip, he seems to return to his old liberalism. That's not very convincing evidence of conversion.

I'd love to believe Trump. IF I believed Trump I'd be as full throated a supporter as anyone on this forum. But I don't believe Trump. He hasn't given me any reason to abandon my mistrust, but he has given a lot of reasons to reinforce it.

Right. Because curtailing other people's liberties is what conservatism is all about.

Thanks for making the same point as the article: criticism of el Maximo must not be allowed.

And then there are those who believe the liberal Supreme Court under a Hillary lawsuit will find a man who is naturally-born of three countries is an appropriate definition of who is allowed to run for president.

This same man lied about not knowing he was a Canadian until a couple years ago. This man friends in high school that he feared his Canadian citizenship might prevent him from running for president someday.

Ted lies.

Nice summary.
And if this is a religious parable, Trump hasn’t tried to turn the campaign into a tent revival, like ‘Elmer Gantry.’

But since they’ve opened the tent flap, there are a number of parallels as well between ‘Elmer’ and Obama.

1. Harvard law.
2. Green senators.
3. Father complexes.
4. Both funny looking.
5. With odd wives.
6. Fervent Bible & Koran thumpers.
7. Sinister benefactors/backers.
8. International Men of Mystery.
9. Perverse sexual proclivities.
10. Lie like bear rugs/weapons grade BS.
11. Followers take ‘Blood Oath.’

They go on-and-on. Cruz and Obama are mirror images, like two peas in a pod.

To be fair, differences: when speaking, Zero doesn’t sound like a rusty cemetery gate hinge opening at midnight on Halloween.

Is this like Carson today suggesting Trump read the Bible and pray? Lol.
Have to say there are snowflake Trump supporters in case you haven’t noticed.

=) Nah, it's a free country, even if their support is misguided. Like your style though.

I’m a pragmatist. I really don’t care what people say—words are worth about as much as the air it takes to say them.

Donald Trump has a long history of being a capitalist. He made for himself an economic empire, that has a presence on several continents. He has the skills to turn the economy around.

Without economic freedom, there is no other freedom.

Furthermore, Trump is the *only* candidate who will actually do something about the illegal alien invasion. Cruz is set to give them amnesty. There are a multitude of problems with the current policy of not only allowing them to enter freely, but encouraging them to do so: one is that they work under the table for less than minimum wage, and their employers pay no taxes, no overhead for hiring them. So our young people who need jobs don’t get them. Another is that unfettered illegal immigration feeds into a thriving slave trade. It’s called “human trafficking” now—but it is slavery. Should we be surprised that Democrats want no enforcement of illegal immigration laws, given their historic support of slavery?

As I said, I don’t have to “believe” Trump on anything. His record is public, and he has already demonstrated his conservative, capitalistic credentials for the last several decades.

Who is Trump’s main primary opponent? A lawyer! A lawyer, who is trained to say whatever will win the case, who has no real world and no executive experience at all. Lawyers aren’t trained to seek the truth, they are trained to be clever and win the case at any cost. That is not something I can support.

I suggest going to Trump’s website https://www.donaldjtrump.com/ and reading his position statements for yourself. He has really good vision, which will no doubt translate to some very good strategies.

FR isn’t a free country. It’s private property.
