I’ve known two former carnies. One became a VP of sales at my forms employer. It’s obvious where h learned his trade. The other was quite the party girl. Ran away and joined the carnival.
She became a Christian, got married and has kid number 14 on the way. About half are adopted, two special needs.
They do in my state. But just imagine an inspector that has to inspect 20 or thirty rides in a single day; by the end the day how good is that inspection going to be.
About twenty years ago in my county the electrical inspector missed something on inspecting a ride and it ended up getting a little boy killed. The investigation brought to light that the inspector was somehow a political favoritism job and the inspector was not certified.
The county was sued of course.
But you will note that Zombie is 29 and a loser. The kind of person you warn your young adult children to keep away from and not trust.
The people you know are the exception not the rule.
The VP of sales is kid of a jerk, but the young lady is the wife of one of my closest friends and is really a great mom.
