Sorry to derail you response...but you are (IMHO) talking about the GOPe. I was not. The GOP voters are showing in this election that they the GOPe is about 180 degrees out of Sync with the GOP base.
The GOPe controls the GOP.
They don’t seem to care what the voters think.
We have wanted the borders and laws enforced since the last amnesty and all we are ever offered is more promises of enforcement IF we will give them another amnesty.
The Usurper is currently legalizing illegal aliens and the GOP is doing nothing about a President flouting the laws.
They should have been in court the day after he announced DACA.
It took the states going to court to stop DAPA.
The GOP is actively thwarting what its voters want.
That’s what I call the GOPe (the establishment/leadership) that need to bee turned out for all the reasons you say. But the GOP to me are the voters who support that platform and send these people to Washington to act accordingly.
We turned our weasel out in June of 2014, I’m still waiting to see anyone else follow our lead.

Unless FBI Director Comey comes out with a press conference closing the investigation and absolving Hillary and her State Department staff of all crimes and security breaches the stink will remain on Hillary.
