My new cats were freaking out. In carriers in the back seat of the car, they yowled their displeasure. I reassured them: “Don’t worry boys, we’ll be home soon.”
Whoops! I had called them boys, when in fact they were girls. An understandable mistake, as I’ve had cats for about 50 years, and all of them have been male. “I’m going to have to work on using the right pronouns,” I thought. And then another thought: “Why? They’re cats.”

I have a friend who has a cat they thought was female for 7 years until they found out it was male. It really messed them up. They had a hard time switching pronouns.

I'm down to 2-males and 5-females. Three of them sleep inside at night and they all come and go during the day.
I should have started a website when they were kittens because I'm sure I would be rich by now. It's better than a soap opera and everyday is full of drama.
Anyway, Buster, the inside male runs things. He spends all day counting his females (me included) and making sure just where we are and what we are doing.
Catu, the second male, comes by to eat and get brushed and greet Buster.
The males are perfectly old fashioned human-lke masculine. And all the females are likewise perfectly feminine and ‘catty’.
Feminism doesn't exist in the clowder. Boys are boys and girls are girls.
Our cat seems to be a male, anatomically..... But what a little sweetie!

If true, how is this sort of twisted thinking possible. I’m not talking about cats but as people. It is beyond comprehension that people can truly spout this garbage and be considered a functioning human with a job.
You appear to have read the article which puts you at a disadvantage. Of course it has nothing to do with cute pet stories and is really about the author being a flaming idiot.

Is he fixed? Usually if they’re fixed, they squat, if they are unfixed, they hoist.

This article is so poorly written that I can’t figure out if this woman is serious and therefore a loon, or if this was a late April Fool’s joke. I just found it tedious reading and not even funny, if that was her intent.
We had a cat who was nursing kittens that was killed by our dog. A few weeks later, we found the kittens nursing on their mother’s brother.
so we called the uncle Princess (it is a joke from Police academy).
of course, it did not stop him from chasing the lady cats in the neighborhood.
