It’s time to rally around Kasich. /s
+++++!
Have to be personal again... this faggot in your #11 is one goofy looking dumb frump.
If, in 2012, the GOPe had worked as hard to beat The Won as they’re working now to beat Trump, President Romney would be running for reelection today.
I agree that number two is not viable, and really, if Cruz is the nominee at this point he is completely doomed in the general. As soon as the Cruz/MSM/GOPe coalition is done twisting reality to bury Trump, Cruz’s new BFFs are gonna turn right around and put MistressGate on the frontpages 24/7, and I think there’s probably something there, based on his reluctance to affirm his fidelity. That on top of all of his GOPe pandering in the campaign and his uniparty Senate votes, I’ve lost all respect for Cruz. He’s a total, 100% sellout and fraud.
If Trump doesn’t win, the uniparty wins. Again. No shock there.
And they are not done yet — they sold out to the Dems for $$$$, to ensure a Hillary presidency.
Just look at this:
GOPe is in bed with the Democrats for a Hillary presidency.
See:
Tech billionaires (major Dem donors) plot with GOP leaders at exclusive island resort to stop Trump
Trump is doing well because “we, the people” outnumber the “establishment elites”...
It is the “silent majority” that is becoming “unsilent” for the first time and the “elites” had better take note...This will not end in November...Just sayin’.....
I'm sitting on the rooftop beside you.
On the other hand I am a pan-ist.
I think it will all pan out the way God wants it to in the end.
That gives me hope.
The GOPe puts up candidates that cannot win... well, I guess they misjudged when they put Bush up and he won despite their desire. The GOPe does not want a winner. Maybe it's been infiltrated by Democrats.
“I like your thinking... “
Thanks. Just thinking out loud, but perhaps an Alinsky-type effort to single out and oust say, Romney, from the party would be in order.
“If, in 2012, the GOPe had worked as hard to beat The Won as theyre working now to beat Trump, President Romney would be running for reelection today.”
You are absolutely correct.
Perhaps you were not reading FR during that time, there were LOTS of 'never Romney' people. Many voted for the Constitution Party. In fact, we heard all about how the Virgil Goode was going to have a real impact because of all the folks that were 'never Romney' were gonna vote for him. Ofcourse it turned out that Goode was a nonfactor, but I'm sure he got some votes from here.
Our Man Ted needs to man-up and understand hat he cannot win alone, under any circumstance. The best for him would be to MAKE THE DEAL with The Donald.
A unified, guns-blazing Trump/Cruz ticket would easily win 45 plus states.
As a not-NBC, it is his ONLY opportunity to save our Republic from Her Thighness.
Unfortunately your whole analysis can be boiled down to “vote Trump”.
I mean, that is all you are really saying right? If Trump isn’t the nominee you think the country goes to hell in a handbasket.
But people like myself who support Cruz see Trump as an utter disaster as a general election candidate. I see absolutely no path for victory for Trump, he has simply alienated too many people. You can’t have 3/4’s of women in this country view you very unfavorably and expect to win. Other than white males, I think Trump loses every demographic. And no, Trump is not like Reagan at all. Let’s put that nonsense to rest. Reagan had electoral experience, Reagan was a grounded ideological conservative and Reagan didn’t spend an entire campaign trashing, belittling, insulting, bullying and otherwise alienating every other candidate in the field.
So you support Trump and your analysis is basically “vote Trump or everything goes to hell”. I mean that is the standard line of just about everyone who supports Trump at a gut level.
Pretty much sums it up for me also. I actually believed prior to this election that most Republican congressman were decent people. I poo poo’d the THEY ARE ALL PART OF ONE PARTY mantra. This election exposed them for who they really are.
A “not-NBC” is not eligible to be VP.
I don’t see how that would have made much difference one way or the other.
Running against an incumbent president in 2012 also, but not now. You’d think anyone running against Hillary or Bernie would be a slam-dunk, but I have serious doubts the way things are going. No party unity whatsoever.
Trump and Cruz MUST get together and make a DEAL.
The outline is simple:
1. Because of age difference, Cruz is VEEP and gets the second 8 years. He badly needs some seasoning anyway.
2. Trump tips his MAGA hat to Cruz and commits to strict constructionist Justices and rescinding virtually 100% of Obama executive orders.
3. Cruz throws in the towel on global trade deals, much like GHWB gave up his pro-Choice position to run with Reagan.
4. The two men announce they see eye-to-eye on Obamacare, immigration, tax reform, many other things.
5. Cruz to be the Czar of downsizing federal govt. and especially workplace and environmental regulations.
6. Trump as POTUS of course leads on foreign policy. Cruz to get that chair in January 2025 if plan goes well.
7. The two couples spend a long weekend together on Trump’s yacht (or one of his billionaire cronies). They all emerge as buds.
8. Trump announces this will give the dems 4 years at least in which to contest Cruz’s eligibility as NBC.
If the GOP will not go along with this scheme, they immediately go 3rd party.
I believe this is why Kasich is hanging around.
{tinfoil hat} It is hinted or implied strongly by the GOPe that after Trump and Cruz fall short of 1237, that Kasich will be the "compromise candidate" due to his 3rd place vote totals and enuff released delegates after the first ballot to put him over the top.{/tinfoil hat }
They may designate Kasich, but I ain’t voting for him.
