“Today I informed the management at Breitbart News of my immediate resignation,” the reporter at the center of the controversy at the conservative site told BuzzFeed News, the week after Trump’s campaign manager allegedly grabbed her.
Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields and editor-at-large Ben Shapiro are resigning from the company over the site’s handling of Donald Trump’s campaign manager’s alleged assault on Fields, BuzzFeed News has learned. Fields and Shapiro informed Breitbart News chairman Steve Bannon of their decision Sunday night.
“Today I informed the management at Breitbart News of my immediate resignation,” Fields said in a statement sent to BuzzFeed News. “I do not believe Breitbart News has adequately stood by me during the events of the past week and because of that I believe it is now best for us to part ways.”
In his own statement, Shapiro said the episode was emblematic of how he believes the site’s management had sold out the legacy of its founder and namesake, the late Andrew Breitbart.

This is not opinion. You can not side with Michelle Fields on this. The evidence is now OVERWHELMING. Clear photo evidence. Clear video evidence. Clear audio evidence (if you actually listen to what is said rather than how you want to spin it).
She was NOT manhandled.
She didn’t “almost” get pulled to the ground
It was NOT Lewandowski, but the SS agent
Is there ANY proof of how she got that bruise on her arm. Did she give do it to herself? Does she bruise easily? Is it even HER arm?
She was “grabbed” not “touched”, “violated”. To use the words “touched” and “violated” in today’s climate conotes being “touched” or “violated” sexually.
Michelle’s exaggerated, over the top, lying, quotes.
“Someone had grabbed me tightly by the arm and yanked me down,” she wrote. “I almost fell to the ground, but was able to maintain my balance. Nonetheless, I was shaken.”
Fields added that the incident has “been really hurtful because obviously no one wants to be touched and violated like that.”
“I’m just a little spooked,” she said, a tear streaming down her face. “No one has grabbed me like that before.”
“I don’t even what to do [about] what he just did to me. Oh my God, that really spooked me that someone would do that.”
Guilty.
I’d put my stake in Shapiro over a conservative come lately like Trump.
Couldn’t agree more.
