If for every time a doctor made a mistake that took a life, a misdiagnosis, a mistreatment, a drug side effect - the news would never let up. Not to mention abortion performed by doctors. But damn, if a parent makes a mistake, and their child dies, we're all over them calling them stupid without knowing the parent's perspective.

It's as if everyone welcomes corporate medicine brain washing or something.

After all, we're a bunch of sheep that don't question fractional reserve banking, why we're carrying coins that no longer contain precious metals. We don't question unchecked boarders, and self enforce politically correct speech and allow our rights to be taxed and regulated away.

If you default to thinking those parents are stupid, you should look in the mirror and take a long hard look at stupid. You're entirely too susceptible to brain washing.

“That child will not be able to kill his child...the defective genetics are not passed forward.”

First you ascribe a 100% measles infection rate to the family. Do you believe they are dirty or impure?

Then you declare the parents are ‘genetically defective’ just for having a different opinion from you.

The parents only mistake was not seeking immediate medical attention. That is not in their genes. And they are not 100% susceptible to infectious diseases.

Btw, reduction in the mortality rate of measles correlates to modern medical treatment, not vaccination.

You want to apply natural selection? Try this:

Measles is a temporary and curable disease. According to the CDC in 2015 there were 189 cases in the US. A rate of less than 1-in-a-million.

ASD is a permanent and incurable condition. In 2014 there were 5 million Americans with the condition with a rate of 1-in-68 births. That is epidemic.

Your opinion is why the government should be barred from dictating compulsory medical treatments. As you clearly illustrate, it is a short step from “it’s good for people and must be done” to “they are impure, their genes are defective and they will be eliminated from the gene pool.

“She said that there are so many children who are sickened and quite a few that die shortly after being vaccinated but most doctors write it off as “some other” cause.”

I worked a SIDS death in the Army. The 6-month old died the night of receiving the MMR vaccine. The baby had been on a heart monitor and the parents responded as soon as the alarm went off but the baby could not be revived. I interviewed the nurse from the vaccination appointment and asked her if she thought the vaccination had anything to do with the baby’s death. Her response was “we’re not supposed to talk about that”.

And they wonder why people are skipping vaccines and risking diseases. Probably something to do with the rate of life-enduring complications and death is several hundred times higher than the rate of the infectious diseases.

I know of one guy that told a schizophrenic he wouldn’t have to take his medication if he only ensured that he ate a fully nutritious diet.

And you think that 'guy' should be open to ridicule because you don't have a clue. Diet and digestion are in fact are the root of many such problems.

Oh come on. Really? You’re willing throw the potential of the child overboard based on would be passing on bad genetics?

Good grief.

I don't know about this particular child -- maybe it was just a disease instead of bad genetics, but God has been doing this since the beginning of time.

Too many people think that the idea behind evolution is "If I need it and don't have it, I will grow it." The truth is "If you need it and don't have it, you will die."

Behold the unfathomable stupidity of the Canadian left. The education system here produced these whack-jobs. My country is lost.

I could go on for hours but haven’t the energy. Watching the majority of the populace slip into a collective state of retardation, I live in a sea of zombified morons who can’t think for themselves at the best of times, but when they do, this type of horror show is the result.

Everyone I meet in my leftist stronghold is dumber than a sack of hammers.

You’re correct. Mortuary studies in anthropology cover thousands of years. In the good ole’ days before vaccinations childhood death was common. Up until the early 20th century even wealthy families commonly endured the death if a child. The mortality rates in all societies showed a spike at 2 years old. If a child made it past that they were generally good until the late teenage years early twenties. It’s sad reading this thread the stupid stuff people believe about vaccinations and modern medicine.

I used to live on a farm settled by a pre-revolutionary war family. The family cemetary was still there. It was filled with children’s graves.

Every day I passed it I was glad I didn’t live back then.

Assuming schizophrenia can be traced to missing nutrients in one’s diet, once it becomes structural, you cant fix it through good nutrition.

Yes he deserves ridicule. He is telling somebody at risk of hurting themselves or others, who is desperate to stop taking medication that keeps feeling sick but also balanced enough life to be productive, to just throw his medication away.

I would never tell such a person to throw away possibly the only thing keeps them from having a psychotic episode and killing somebody.

And if had only gotten his shots the child would have lived forever.

Every bit as vacuous as that piece claiming 80 year old Antonin Scalia is dead because he did not follow doctors’ advice.

I have young children and none of them have had any vaccines.

My wife and I came to this decision after a lot of research. A careful review of the evidence would lead any reasonable parent to skip the vaccines and instead focus on giving their children good food, exercise outside, love, homeopathic remedies, etc. Americans are heavily over-medicated, especially the children, and the results are poor health. Not only do we not know if vaccines given to children today are safe, but the CDC refuses to do the research to find out.

I think the bigger question is why so many parents do give their children so many vaccines. My guess is that most fathers leave it up to their wives to make these decisions. And most mothers are either not smart enough to understand all the conflicting information on the topic (it is very hard), they are intimidated by their pediatricians and schools (even though most states allow you to opt out, doctors and schools never tell the parents about this option), or they are too busy watching Ellen and reading People (not only is this a waste of time for a parent, but they are subjecting themselves to drug company propaganda).

How many women have the guts to go up against the government, schools, doctors, family, friends, insurance/drug companies? Sadly, the dominate American culture today is obedience, not freedom.

“My wife and I came to this decision after a lot of research. A careful review of the evidence...”

People who say this almost never know how to do research or what exactly they are researching. However suspicion of “the man” is a given. Hopefully your children don’t pay with their lives.

The one part I agree with is giving too many vaccines at once.

Hmmmm, so in your very HUMBLE opinion, ALL mothers are smart enough to understand the information about vaccine safety? Because if you believe that SOME mothers are not smart enough, then you agree with me.

Or, perhaps you just disagree with my opinion and are resorting to name-calling. Are you a liberal-Neocon? That’s their go-to tactic when they have no facts to back up their stupid ideas.

I think you are implying that we didn’t do the research correctly. There is a research methodology problem, and it with the drug companies and the CDC. My wife is in the health care field and I’m an engineer. There is nothing in any of the literature that together we can’t understand.

The big thing you need to know is that the current vaccine schedule has never been proven to be safe (and no one has tried), the government has provided immunity to the drug companies, and the government has paid out a lot of money to people/families who have been harmed by vaccines.

This is a case of crony capitalism. Without government coercion, parents would pick and choose which vaccines to give their kids and our kids would benefit. Do you know that most newborns are given the Heb-B vaccine? That most kids are immunized against chicken pox? This is so dumb you don’t need to be a scientist to realize what is going on. It’s a scam.

Your comment about my children’s lives proves my point. I’m responsible if my child dies from a preventable disease. But, I’m not responsible if my child dies from an unsafe vaccine. Isn’t there something wrong with that sort of thinking?

Anyone who looks at the evidence objectively would conclude that our children are being harmed by vaccines...and that the cost is too high in comparison to the advertised benefits.

“My wife is in the health care field and I’m an engineer. “

I’’m not surprised.

The above proves my point. Vaccinations have never been about 100% safety although statistics show they are overwhelmingly safe and effective. They are about playing the odds. That's why epidemiologists look at things like “herd immunity” when assessing risk factors for vaccination preventable diseases. And because nothing is 100% safe and the public benefit of a lack of epidemics is a manifest good, immunity from lawsuit is a requirement if we're not to go back to the good ole’ days of common childhood death.

I like the idea of herd immunity, but I’m not sure how well it works. For example, kids don’t get chicken pox anymore due to the vaccine. But, by the time they are adults, the vax wears off and they get shingles...which is a big problem. I would much rather my kids get chicken pox like I did. But, thanks to all the parents vaccinating their kids for a normal childhood disease, my kids probably will not get it.

I posted on this topic because I think conservatives should support parents’ rights, and oppose government coercion...especially when it comes to medical treatments.

Cheers!
