I’m sorry. I cannot support Cruz. When he said he’d support Rubio ahead of Trump after that nasty tag-team debate, it was too much.

As a pollster, I have some skepticism on Cruz beating Hillary. There is a political campaign between now and then, and campaigns matter. The models are designed for exactly this situation, and they indicate that Cruz would be likely to beat her, but that is all.

As a pollster, I would completely dismiss models that predict Hillary beats Trump (or Trump beats Hillary). Besides the fact that the campaign makes a difference, we have no idea how motivated Trump voters will be by November. Will their anger be satisfied by blocking pro-Amnesty losers like Jeb, Christie, and Marco, and they just won't care enough to show up for another election in November? Or will they be circling like sharks in a feeding frenzy as they smell blood and show up in a flood in November.

It's not just that I don't know - no one knows. We have no data on elections like Trump's. All we have are guesses.

I will admit that I found that performance very disturbing. That is why I have been emphasizing a defense of Trump lately.

(Trump: Metaphor For American Conservatism.)

But we have got to patch the division up. We do not have the luxury of each faction going their own way.

From Newsweek. They show Trump losing to Vladimir Lenin by double digits.

But Cruz went his own way and allied with Rubio, leaving Trump alone to bring down Rubio. It's okay that Cruz might have improved his numbers at Trump's expense because of that. At this point, I'd much rather see Trump/Kasich if he needs the delegates.

And as I've stated many times, the puppetmasters can tie Cruz's eligibility up in courts any time they want, and steal his delegates.

This is not the time for a softie GOPe candidate. Not at all!

1. North Korea, just yesterday. threating to attack us with nukes

2.The Iranian's with their newly acquired 150 billion dollars -can simply buy nukes now!

3. Mullah Obama has already begun flying in his preset goal of 170,000 Islamic Muslim rapefugees! How many of these 170,000 will eventually beat, rape and murder our fellow Americans. How many of these 170,000 will arrive here - and eventually pull out machine guns on us.

4. The illegal mexican horde currently here and the illegal mexican hordes always enroute here -taking millions upon millions of jobs from Americans (white, black and hispanic Americans), swarming our schools, bankrupting our hospitals, raping and murdering fellow Americans. [and all the very slimy democrat politicians welcoming them -as potential democrat voters]

I'm voting for Trump!

The current head-to-head match-ups right now should not be read into very much. While Trump may be trailing in most polls with Hillary right now, it would be unwise to think that Cruz would do better in November. The attacks against Trump that he’s actually a liberal and not as conservative as he claims may have some play in the GOP primaries, but it’s not something the Dems will likely hit him on because it would make him appear more moderate.

Your comments go to the Convention. They are reasonable in that context. But it will still be necessary for the respective supporters to rally together this fall.

As for the eligibility? I recognize the question there. I believe that it is being litigated, right now. There should be some action there before the Convention. (I have deliberately avoided discussing the legal issue as a personal peace offering; but I share your concern--although the issue is out there irrespective of those whom you identify as "puppetmasters.")

Sure, and at this point in the race in 2004, Bush was 12 pts behind Kerry. What’s your point? General election polls cannot be relied upon at this time. They just can’t. They are worthless.

Ted Cruz people want to lose! They want to complain and never actually solve a problem. It’s an industry that will be crushed if Trump wins. The grievance industry on the right is just as big as the grievance industry on the left.

If the election was a caucus he would win lol...other then that he is at best a regional candidate with support in segments in the South. He is great on issues, but no Charisma. He comes off as a preacher. NO ONE wants to be preached too outside Church. No polling suggest that he expands anything.

But we have got to patch the division up

I'm going to tell you a little about me. Once, when I was younger, I fell for a guy who treated me unfairly, developed another steady relationship before he dumped me, lying all the time. That didn't work out, so he came back. Big mistake on my part. Swore I'd never do it again.

From the lesson learned, I'll NEVER trust the likes of Ted Cruz again. He deserted us for Romney, and now it's "can't we patch things up"? Uhhhh, no.

I am not a spokesman for either candidate. But they really do complement each other to the extent that each draws from a distinct segment of the Conservative base. As you, I am very unhappy with Cruz's behavior, since he joined Marco in a juvenile "tag team" tirade against Trump in a recent "debate."

As a lifelong advocate for traditional American values, who was once (in College) subjected to the same tactic in a radio debate with two "Liberals," over my support for the McCarren/Walters Immigration Act, I have no sympathy whatsoever for anyone using that tactic to drown out a reasoned argument. But we need to come together. (Support For Trump & Cruz.)

Haven’t you seen today’s news? Neil Bush joined Cruz’s financial team! And you still want reconciliation?

Since Newsweek is a shill for Clinton, this disinformation poll means Clinton most fears a run against Trump.

The reconciliation is with his supporters, and he is at least to a major extent, the key to that.

Also, I do not know whether Neil is as compromised as his brothers. The old man, while far more "liberal" than Reagan, at least understood how to wage a limited war, without getting into the long-term mess that "W" did.

Not ever a supporter of "new world orders," but Cruz is primarily a strict constructionist, which is the constituency with which I personally identify.

It is also a mistake to judge a candidate by his supporters. He should be judged by whom he supports, not the other way around. (I suspect that Neil's motives are not to support Cruz's stated values, but pay back for what Trump managed to do with Jeb--that is, effectively knock him out.

What’s your point?

That Trump supporters who claim he's more electable have no hard facts on their side (granting that anyone who hypothetically made that claim about Cruz is on thin ice too).

You are correct. No facts. BUT - we DO KNOW, based on his books, his TV appearances, his successes and failures, that he is ultimately a winner. The first time he hits the debate stage with Hitlery, all he has to do is point out that she might want to start packing, because when he's in office, he'll be sure she's prosecuted to the fullest extent. That's not something Cruz or Rubio would do.

It would appear that you added to the title of the article with your own opinion, [no]/[yes] - and then the article went on to "prove" the point using conjecture and polls that don't mean a thing - a lot like my own opinion.
