Jimmy Carter announced Sunday that he no longer needs treatment for cancer, less than seven months after revealing he had been diagnosed with melanoma that spread to his brain. […]

Carter’s spokeswoman Deanna Congileo said in an email that his doctors will continue to perform scans to ensure cancer cells have not returned, and Carter will “resume treatment if necessary.” A spokesman for Emory University’s Winship Cancer Institute, where Carter has been treated, declined to comment on Sunday, citing patient privacy.

Carter’s treatment plan for the aggressive form of cancer including a round of targeted radiation at several tumors on his brain and doses of an immune-boosting drug every three weeks from August through February. The drug, Keytruda, was approved not long before Carter’s announcement and helps his body seek out and destroy cancer cells. …

I suppose he can walk on water too. Cancer is generally a chronic condition, it may be defeated, temporarily, even for a few years, but when it comes back, it’s with a vengeance and almost always takes you out. Say your prayer’s Jimmah.

No, YHWH was giving him on last chance to repent and bless Israel. The drug that saved his life was developed there.

He’s what, 90? I don’t care for his politics at all, but am glad that immune therapy is have some notable success, for the benefit of future cancer patients if for no other reason.

I wonder how many millions of dollars he's sponged off us since he lost the election to President Reagan?

“Jimmy Carter announced Sunday that he no longer needs treatment for cancer, less than seven months after revealing he had been diagnosed with melanoma that spread to his brain.”

Hmmmmm.I was going to say “how could they tell” but am afraid of the backlash from brain cancer sufferers. I will say this however. I lost a job I waited 2 years to get and worked 2.5 jobs while he played dictator and imposed wage and price freezes and we slid further into the tank when he was in office, obviously convinced FDR was a genius, and he was the second worst President in history. I could care less about him either way.

Not a fan at all of Carter’s rather twisted politics, but I give thanks to God for His great mercy.

And since several members of the team that invented Keytruda have driven on roads that were built using American taxpayer money, all credit for the drug goes to the United States Government, without which nothing would exist.

Yes, Touchdown Jesus intervened to prolong Jimmy Carter’s life while striking down Nancy Reagan to boot. Truly working in mysterious ways. /sarc

He needs to worry more about old age at this point, but then - he is 91. Thankfully it didn’t occur today to besmirch Nancy Reagan.
