Quite possible, although he’s on Hillary’s VP list too.
Getting locked into SCOTUS might be below his long term level of ambition.

Hillary is a possibility for Obama. She is tanking badly and would likely grab such a golden opportunity to abort her campaign to Biden or some such tool.

He just cited the ‘Constitution’. How come he never does that when he does unconstitutional things like changing immigration laws without Congressional consent?

No, SCOTUS would be very “confining” and limiting for Hillary.
No way would she take the job.

Even if she’s flushed from the POTUS race she will still take in huge money lobbying, etc.

Wouldn’t be surprised. She would be used for maximum political effect. Otherwise, she is too old. Bathhouse Barry would prefer someone younger to destroy America for the coming decades.

Is she gay? I don’t think two victim classes, black and a woman, qualifies for any new Obama appointments.

Yep. And if republicans don’t confirm her, they’re racists.

Wouldn’t surprise me a bit. Or “Stedman” Holder, but I think even Obama may realize he’s not going to ram that one through. What he needs is someone who will end up with the liberals on the court but who has a veneer of objectivity that the Senate will look bad rejecting.

One thing for sure, there’s no way Obama lets this crisis go to waste. Because “he won”.

I am sooooo happy that this is an election year. The ill-conceived 17th Amendment will arguably backfire on the anti-constitutional republic Progressive Movement with respect to angry patriots exercising their voting muscle to fire state sovereignty-ignoring senators.

Note that a Senate controlled by a 2/3 conservative supermajority can then work with the House to impeach and remove state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices from the bench.

Trump shut Bill and Hillary up in 24 hours when they tried that war on women stuff with him. Name anyone who has ever been able to shut down the Clintons?
Trump can easily cut through the racist, bigot, anti woman crap they throw at us...like butter.

Cruz, not so much.

There are too many good reasons to block her. He wants that seat more than a campaign issue. I bet he picks someone not so well known. Not that they would be any better.

I’m thinking Van Jones for the first round. In his position that’s what I’d do, just to induce paroxysms of rage :-)

Lynch and the FBI are on a collision course. The oncoming conflagration when she doesn’t proceed to charge the Clinton’s based on the FBI findings of fact negates her prior approval.

She’ll never get another federal job.

I agree with this.

Since Lynch is already in the hot seat about Hillary, NO WAY does Obama want any questions asked during a confirmation hearing.

Particularly since a lot of Hillary's e-mails lead directly to the WH.

He won't go near that can of worms.

I put my money on Obama appointing a lower court judge that was confirmed with votes from Rubio, Cruz, McCain, etc.

I disagree. With her health problems, aging and fall from DNC Grace, she might be ready for a break.
