The aluminum theory is at least a generation old. I switched from aluminum pots and pans to stainless steel over 30 years ago. Two or three concussions over the years (plus heredity) puts me at much higher risk than does my hygiene regime.

I would theorize that your brain issues makes you more susceptible to whatever may cause Alzeheimers. I don’t think they will truly know the source for many more decades...if ever.

The brain is a marvelous mystery. It’s quite a work of art - or God - or evolution, etc.

This stuff works well, if you use it daily:

Grant Peterson at Rivendell bikes has some interesting thoughts on it. The description here about the smell is dead-on (at least at my house). Read the reviews.

My grandfather never used deodorant and had Alzheimer’s. I don’t think that is the only neurotoxin or way to have one’s brain poisoned. It must be something else.

Did they do an autopsy? I think there is a lot of misdiagnosis.

My grandmother may or may not have had Alzheimers. Maybe it was just regular ole’ senility - but no autopsy of the brain so we dont know.

It’s a horrible disease. But I think of Glen Cambell’s song. They don’t know what is happening to them after a certain point.

I almost want to slap ANYONE who says Alzheimers comes from letting your brain be less active.

You couldn’t have a busier, richer, more social life than either of my parents. They retired.... And I could never find them. They traveled, they remodeled their several homes, built a new one, had friends and lots of family and were busier than ever. My dad did small medical practice accounting for other firms for FUN because he liked to stay busy and did math backwards in his head. He had tons of Wall Street investments that he followed online daily. He also became a medical expert witness in trials. My mom ran committees, was on condo boards, etc. They were busy and happy and youthful.

Both of them have Alzheimer’s. My dad is near the end. It hit them both in their very late 70s.

IT IS TOTAL BULL THAT ALZHEIMERS CAN BE PREVENTED BY AN ACTIVE BRAIN OR SOCIAL LIFE.

Please believe me.

Aluminum and Alzheimers.

Which is why I stopped drinking anything out of aluminum cans.

Which by extent has had very positive effects on my health due to a complete elimination of anything "diet soda" or beer related coming from an aluminum can. :-)

You are right. The easiest way to get aluminum into your brain and bloodstream is to inject it. Like everyone does with vaccines and flu shots. There is as yet no proof aluminum causes Alzheimers just because aluminum is found in the brain tangles. Seaweed is found wrapped around drowning victims when they wash ashore. Seaweed didn’t kill them.

There are so many problem areas that you just have to pick and choose . For example, I drink things out of plastic bottles..and yes, they have their own issues.

There is growing evidence that Alzheimer's, Huntington's, Parkinson's, ALS and other neurodegenerative disorders are metabolic and result from longterm insulin dysregulation.

Dysregulation of Insulin Signaling, Glucose Transporters, O-GlcNAcylation, and Phosphorylation of Tau and Neurofilaments in the Brain

Brain Insulin Resistance and Deficiency as Therapeutic Targets in Alzheimer's Disease

Further, gut microbiota may play a much greater role in inflammatory signaling than previously thought.

Short-chain fatty acids suppress lipopolysaccharide-induced production of nitric oxide and proinflammatory cytokines through inhibition of NF-κB pathway in RAW264.7 cells.

Yes, it can definitely be that Alz is a metabolic disorder, caused perhaps by diet, influenced by which gut bug population rules the roost. And, here is a scary thing about it, IF TRUE IT MAY BE CONTAGIOUS.

Two completely different people genetically, like my parents, live, eat, kiss, etc, together and thus they share gut bug populations. So if certain bacteria proliferating can lead to Alzheimers or other neurodegenerative diseases, partnering with someone who has them can give you a much greater chance of having it too.

There is nothing yet to rule out Alzheimers as being a form of “diabetes” or another metabolic origin disease. There is nothing yet to rule out a gut bug or spirochete origin.

It’s scary.

When you start thinking about the bacteria effects on us, it even makes you worry about sex partners...... Even kissing partners. Pretty powerful stuff... Some people get so desperate for sex they will share bacteria from all sorts of body orifices with total strangers.... The more I learn about the gut biome the more dangerous it seems to share intimacies with strangers....

Actually, it is true you didn’t say that. You get it. But you don’t know how many times people do say it either on these threads or even in media articles. And it does make me scream.

Yes, I grabbed my chance to make my little speech. ;)

This article was written by that bum in the subway car.
“the car was half-empty because a stinking bum was lying on a seat, and no one wanted to smell him. “
