Before you say it, Chester A. Arthur is listed as being born in Vermont and the 9 Presidents born as natural born British Subjects were born in what became US states.
Looking at that map, it’s amazing how many states that presidents were not born in. It’s amazing, by now, we haven’t had a president from all 13 original states.
Careful what you wish for. Sometimes there are unintended consequences. I am always apologizing to my out of state acquaintances about Jimmy Carter.
What I find interesting is that there has never, in 226 years, been an openly foreign born President. Arthur is likely the exception but he had the sense to hide his illegitimacy. This is 226 years of historical precedent that Ted Cruz is attempting to undo.
The argument for Cruz stated that laws since the Constitution have changed what is written in the Constitution. Silly me. I thought only amendments could change the Constitution.
Two good things about Jimmy Carter.
-It was only one term.
-His being so bad led even more people vote for Reagan.

I remember going to the polls here in Georgia that first time. The atmosphere was positively ELECTRIC! You could smell the ozone all around. Longest time I ever had to stand in line to vote.
To my mind, that number would be 219. I am still not convinced by the data released.
The dems have demonstrated that it really doesn’t matter under “obamacare”.

Natural Born Citizen = born on the soil of the country to two citizen parents.
Ted Cruz fails both requirements.
So did Obama, but who cares about that musty old parchment any more? Isn’t it a living Constitution anyway?
