...because the hostesses have little to do while IN FLIGHT but clean out the ovens with toxic oven cleaner.
Maybe guarding against the possibility of contagion.
I don't think this is the time for stupid jokes.
Not that I think you're stupid.

Never. Gets. Old.
Looks like it is a different plane but the same model.
From article-The plane - a Boeing 777 - is thought to be the same model as the one that was forced to divert back to London Heathrow following a 'medical emergency' on Wednesday.
A 777 just like the one from Malasian Airlines that disappeared with over 200 passengers onboard.
I think there is material here for a conspiracy theory.
Nerve gas doesn’t leave survivors
Nerve gas doesnât leave survivors -— Not True - see Sarin nerve gas attack in Tokyo Subway. Or it could be mustard gas. One small bottle of ammonia mixed with one small bottle of bleach. Poor man’s mustard gas.
I prefer the one with Helen in it!
The article also doubles that statement, but indicates it is the very same. Poor writing.
Cut me some slack, Jack. My momma didn’t raise no dummy.
When I was in high school, one of my friends had a Beta machine and the only movie he had was Airplane! We would watch it over and over. I can still recite the entire jive sequence without missing a beat. My colleagues at work are amazed. Fun times in 1980.
Rumack: You’d better tell the Captain we’ve got to land as soon as we can. This woman has to be gotten to a hospital.
Elaine Dickinson: A hospital? What is it?
Rumack: It’s a big building with patients, but that’s not important right now.
I’d check the airflow system, but what’s odd is it seems to be affecting crew more than passengers.
The first incident mentioned dizziness being the main problem.
Glad you notice that too. I didn’t know that Commercial Airliners have ovens. If they do, I demand a nice meal to accompany my flight. Unless someone is inhaling it onboard.
ROFL OMG That is a classic scene with Mrs. Cleaver
Airplane!, Blazing Saddles, and Caddyshack never get old to me.
Just went back and read more.
“It sounds exactly like what happened on the other flight with us not being allowed off the plane for two hours.
People and crew get sick on plane, so they make an emergency landing and make everyone stay on the plane for two hours?!!
Earlier suggestions were 'something in the galley' area. Heating residual cleaner in the oven might produce something nasty. This happened on the other flight over Iceland, and I think we can rule out a volcanic gas plume on this one. That leaves some sort of contamination activated in flight.
Disease onset times are too long to have this sort of result, so a toxin is the foremost suspect.
