An Oklahoma couple is blaming a doctorâs advice for their recent shoplifting arrest.
Jayson Harrison and Samantha Bevens were arrested for trying to steal $600 worth of items from a Broken Arrow Walmart, Fox 23 reports.
After the coupleâs arrest, they reportedly told police that they were seeing a doctor who told them to âpretend to shopâ instead of stealing.
According to Fox 23, they said the doctor told them to fill a shopping cart and leave it at the front of the store to fight the urge to steal.
But, Harrison and Bevens ended up pushing the cart right out of the building, police say.
Fox 23 spoke with several mental health professionals around the area who all doubted a professional would give that advice.
No doctor was named in the arrest report.
Harrison and Bevens were booked into the Tulsa County Jail for felony grand larceny.
Take two TVs and call me in the morning.
You know your Doctor is a Quack, when....
When I worked at Walmart in Wisconsin, a women and her 13 year old son each had a cart filled with identical items. One paid and handed the receipt to the other. Damn security cameras

Buy one get one free?
I bet the same doctor might say that spending 30 days in the slammer also may help cure the urge to shoplift.
It takes a special kind of evil to drag your own children into your life of crime.
Bet that it wasn’t their first time, and it had worked previously.
My Dr. told me to get over my desire to kill shitheads was to shoot at them, but purposely miss them. I’m a bad shot.
Well played.
