Do they have that many Muzzis in New Zealand?

They will have is this gets approved.

Mine: LAX-HKG 15 hrs going, N to AK then S...about 12 1/2 back trans-Pacific, I think the Jetstream...pretty rough over mid-ocean

The world’s longest flight is a transoceanic flight stuck between two fat, smelly, rude, obnoxious passengers. I’m glad my flying days are over.

I had a FRA - DFW take 14 hours one time in an Airbus. (Can’t recall if it was a 330 or a 340) plus a big swing way to the north.

RR engines are terrific. A stellar line of power plants starting with the incomparable Merlin.

Or you could just stare straight ahead

FWIW, my longest flight was from Hong Kong to Chicago. 14 hours. Good thing I was in business class and the drinks were free.

Well - it’s either that or stay stuck in Doha!

Flying against the jetstream always makes for a longer trip. Also, if your flight route did not follow the northern route, that also adds distance to the flight.

Coming home on my mid-tour leave from Korea I flew Space A on a MAC C-5. Non-stop from Yakota to Travis was a little over 10 hours. Flew out of Osan on another airlifter to Japan, spent the night at Yakota, then caught the C-5 to Cali. Flew home commercial from San Francisco to Virginia. Rear-facing seats on the troop deck of the C-5 and out “flight attendant” was a grump loadmaster handing out box lunches.

On one trip to Seoul I jumped over to Tokyo on the way back. Flew a 747 home with about fifty passengers. A typhoon or something canceled connecting flights and there was hardly anyone on the plane. Now that was attentive service.

I don’t think Vegetable Lasagna would make it.

And someone would go home in a body bag.
