A 22-year-old accused of murdering a young man over a game of beer pong was arraigned Monday.
Nathan Ware pleaded not guilty in Second Judicial District Court. The judge set his bond at $200,000 cash or surety.
According to court documents, Ware went to a New Year's Eve party at an apartment on Estancia near Central. Albuquerque police said Ware got into a fight with Joray Chavez during a game of beer pong.
Ware then left the apartment, but came back with two friends, according to APD.
Police said Ware told his friends to start shooting. Chavez was killed in the shooting and another man, Robert McCoy, was critically injured.
The other two men involved in the shooting remain at large, according to the Bernalillo County District Attorney's Office.
