Germantown, MD – An ambulance transported a female patient of late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart to a Germantown hospital on the evening of January 19, 2016, about a month after another similar incident that also resulted in emergency hospitalization of another of his patients.
Security camera footage obtained by Operation Rescue shows an ambulance arriving at Germantown Reproductive Health Services in Germantown, Maryland at approximately 7:46 p.m. according to the video time-stamp. Seven minutes later, emergency responders are seen leaving the late-term abortion facility with the injured women on a gurney.
Carhart and his wife, Mary Lou, are also seen exiting the abortion facility and leaving the parking lot immediately after the ambulance.
Carhart has not held hospital privileges anywhere, including Maryland, since 1982.
Carhart conducts abortions throughout all nine months of pregnancy at Germantown Reproductive Health Services where he has worked for the past five years. Carhart also operates his own abortion facility in Bellevue, Nebraska, where state law limits abortions to under 20 weeks.
A witness on the scene has told Operation Rescue that on January 19, Carhart saw 21 patients. Seven of those were risky late-term abortion deliveries.
The patient that was transported was said to have been the first patient to arrive for the day and the last to leave eleven hours later – long after everyone else had been released.
This is the sixth medical emergency that has resulted in the hospitalization of a Carhart abortion patient since he began working in Maryland five years ago. One of those incidents resulted in the death of Jennifer Morbelli, who succumbed on Feburary 7, 2012, to complications of a 33-week abortion. Even though Carhart was unable to be contacted as Morbelli’s condition worsened, which fatally delayed emergency Carhart was never held accountable.
Carhart was also involved in the death of another late-term abortion patient, Christin Gilbert, a 19-year old Down syndrome teen who died from complications to a botched third trimester abortion on January 13, 2005.
“When Carhart moved his late-term abortion business to Germantown, we predicted he would kill again, and that prediction came true. Now he has hospitalized two women within a month of each other and we do not know if either woman is alive or dead,†said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “Carhart is a dangerous abortionist that has maimed and killed enough. We urgently call on the Maryland Board of Physicians to step in and stop Carhart from practicing in Maryland before he kills again.â€
Earlier this week, Operation Rescue named Carhart’s Germantown Reproductive Health Services as one of the six most dangerous abortion business in the U.S.
I read Carhart’s bio at wikipedia, the guy is despicable for being an abortionist. That said, there’s a story that some years ago, his horse stable was set on fire and some of his horses died. This has made him more hard-core and he was a friend of Tiller too.

I think he tired to blame pro lifers for the fire of his horse stable but the fire marshal thinks it was him. At least that is what I remember.
He has another abortion mill in Bellevue Nebraska. He is well protected around here by some of the judges and also Planned Parenthood. Some pro-life people bought the building he was renting and gave him an eviction notice. He went to court and got a ruling that even though there was absolutely nothing in the agreement that said he should be given the right of first refusal, the judge rewrote the agreement to give him that. Then, he got the money from Planned Parenthood to buy it. He is still in business there. It is a dilapidated, run-down building.
Um... he's an abortionist. Of course he's going to kill again. To take a line from the insurance commercials, it is what he does.
It really irks me when abortion clients are called "patients." That terminology, unfortunately, helps the abortion industry pretend that it provides medical services. It does not. There is no medical purpose whatsoever for the use of abortion as birth control.
True. There is no medical purpose for abortion used as *anything." Which is to say, the "medically necessary abortion" --- properly defined--- is a myth.

Pope Francis did not bring up abortion in his Philadelphia lalapalooza on “Family”, nor did he mention it when he addressed the U.S. Congress.
He has stated, “We cannot insist only on issues related to abortion, gay marriage and the use of contraceptive methods. This is not possible. I have not spoken much about these things, and I was reprimanded for that.”
What does he talk about? EENS? The last four things? No.

This only heightens the hypocrisy of those on the left who invoke the image of coat hangers and speak of deaths from “back alley” abortions. As if there’s any difference between this - and so many other - killer and the so-called “back alley” fantasy figures.
I had to make the distinction of abortion used for birth control, since I have known two women who had ectopic pregnancies that had to be terminated on an emergency basis. One of the women was unable to get pregnant again following two such pregnancies; the other lost triplets but then went on to have a healthy boy. In both of those cases, abortion was not only medically necessary, but it saved their lives.
I also read about a case where a woman developed severe, life-threatening sepsis. Her condition deteriorated to a point where there was no question of trying to save the child; in order to save the mother, the baby was aborted. In that case, I am not certain that it was absolutely necessary to kill the baby, but I do know that infections are especially deadly for pregnant women.
Most abortions for which a medical reason is claimed, however, the “reason” is questionable. I suspect that abortion is recommended in many cases because treating a pregnant patient is more complicated than treating a non-pregnant patient, not because the mother’s life depends on it.
(2)Simple premature delivery, whether my C-section or vaginally, is not considered abortion, either, evn if the baby dies, if the baby was anyway dying in the womb. Being removed from a place where he's dying anyway, is not abortion.
This is assuming he is merely delivered, not targeted for destruction, not chopped up. This is also assuming his subsequent demise (premature as he is) was foreseeable, but not intended. In other words, he's being treated respectfully, as a dying baby --- not as a piece of meat.
