CHICAGO — Police officers are making drastically fewer investigative stops and confiscating fewer guns as murders and shootings have increased so far this year, DNAinfo Chicago has learned.
So far this year, the number of so-called investigative stop reports — formerly known as “contact cards†— has decreased by about 80 percent compared to the same time period last year, police sources told DNAinfo.com.
There also been a 37-percent decline in gun arrests and a 35-percent decrease in gun confiscations compared to last year, according to police data.
Meanwhile, there have been 72 more shootings (a 218 percent increase) and 10 more murders (a 125 percent spike) than the same time period in 2015, according to police data.

I would not be surprised if they turn their backs on twinkle-toes if a cop gets killed.

I know you're joking, but I remember some years ago a mayor told the cops to back off on arrests for what he dead minor offense. He then bragged about a better crime rate because less arrests were being made.

How do so many ignorant liberals come up with such ridiculous language? “Contact cards” - What? Are these issued on a street corner, a 7-11 convenience store or where? These people are incapable of joining the sane members of society. They’d never fit in nor will the voters ever admit that letting these people run their cities/counties/states is the sole reason for the abysmal conditional of such.
