When network-news star Katie Couric said

Yahoo News sucks and aims at the Low Info voter.
The Entertainment Tonight and People mag moron types.
Admin Moderator: this should be an excerpt but I put in ‘[Perky Ping]’ in the ‘source’, which evaded the excerpt function. My apologies.
Only a matter of time before Yahoo gets bought out.
Sometimes the grass is truly not greener on the other side. Couric’s post Today Show career is a wreck. It was OK being a perky dimwit on the Today Show, but now she’s a perky dimwit who nearly ruined CBS News and is now a financial failure and burden for Yahoo. Guess that perkiness only goes so far!
Another Marisa Mayer epic fail, pretty face, poor CEO, Obama boot locker extraordinaire. Cue Curly Bill, she won’t make it to 2017.
“locker”
Here’s my shocked face
:O
If I want the latest news about homosexuals or the Kardasians, there is no place better to go than Yahoo.
I used to go to Yahoo for their sports section - it was great for the latest scores and standings. Now it is a mess. I guess all the faggots they employ don't know anything about sports.
The TV industry is obsessed with faces. It pays big money for females with pretty faces and males with wussy fairy faces. The brain behind the face doesn’t matter.
This got us barbara walters, stephanopolos, katy couric and matt lauer.
Yahoo’s incompetent CEO Melissa Meyer is a beneficiary of Female Privilege. If she wasn’t a pretty female, she would have been fired 2 years ago.
Especially when you pull moves like this one:

The perkiness and the (putative) classiness is well and thoroughly obliterated.
You couldn’t pay me to watch a Katie Couric interview with anyone.
They think we are a bunch of boobs and they can keep selling us the same biased pablum for all of eternity.
My revulsion for professional “journalists” runs every bit as deep as my revulsion for the BigGov political elites.
Al of them chosen by a process that is guarded and exclusive, but marketed as “of the people.”
Authenticity and transparency of character is what we want!
Vice TV is said to be on track to make $1 billion a year in gross revenues. The people running Yahoo are not very good at marketing. They have made a lot of deals over the years, and what has propped them up are mainly their Yahoo Japan division and their stake in Alibaba which wound its way into a windfall many years later. They have scores and scores of other assets and acquisitions and they can’t figure out how to integrate them, spin them off, brand them, expand them, or make them a success. Do they even invest money in search algorithm anymore? Last I heard they contract to Google. They of all companies even more than Microsoft/Bing could probably take a share of search from Google if they could figure out to make relevant search results. (I am not knocking Microsoft but they are very late to wake up but they are awake now, and taking Apple on head-on which may in time invigorate Bing for them too).
Don’t rule out the casting couch.
Marissa Mayer is no pretty face unless you are comparing her to Bruce Jenner
There are lots of news providers in the various media; it’s hard to justify multi-million dollar wages for any of these people. It’s almost always arrogance and cronyism. Couric is an average news reader but, as with most “news celebrities”, she wants to be the center of attention - she’s not.
