HELENA - Technology entrepreneur and Republican gubernatorial hopeful Greg Gianforte reported income of $220.5 million and federal and state tax payments of nearly $35 million between 2005 and 2014, according to his tax returns.

(Gianforte/Wife's background: conservative, religious...)
Thanks, almost forgot.
If I may add...(for those not familiar w/MT)
Aaron Flint left ‘Voices of Montana’ to join Gianforte’s campaign.
Take a minute to search Aaron Flint (he was much more than an informative radio host for one hour, 5 days a week in MT)
Aaron was on top of Montana/other stories, similar to sub hosts on Rush, Levin, Hannity, etc.

Good for montana
Good for Montana,I hope he becomes their governor.
Good Lord did you read the comments at the paper?
The first dealt with envy and the second complained about faggot rights.
Gianforte? In Montana?
I didn’t know those guys had paesani there ;)
And a rich one.
... “If you have something customers want and you
can deliver it at the right price-point, revenue and profits will come. If you don’t, all the capital in the world won’t make your business successful.”...
That’s what he said. Don’t know enough about owning a business to know. Had vending machine route once :)
..
Gee Bullwinkle, I think we blew out the MT Standards server.
While I can’t substantiate it, yesterday, the first comment was from some autobot in the UK about their blog)
Yesterdays second comment was today’s first comment.
(both comments today were positive re: Gianforte)
Unless you’re commenting on another story/comment?
I only saw the two the other must have just appeared
I can’t get back to MT Standard comments, even on a local server, but it is perhaps due to the increase from FR (g00d).
Also, MT Standard is changing their comment policy where no ‘nics’ are allowed and all previous comments w/out real names are being deleted.
Perhaps I did a ‘Friday/unexpected’ to them?
he who?
Bill Weld wound up in the harbor, danced the night away.
I delivered the Boston Globe, Herald Traveler, Framingham News.
mudderfooker made nearly as much as me. darn. who is this guy?
Hopefully a true conservative, constitutionalist, believer in the country
Someone who knows the difference between truth and personal gain.
Although there are three declared candidates listed for Governor on the GOP side, I presume it will come down to between ex-Sec of State Brad Johnson and Greg Gianforte (barring any entries between now and the filing deadline in March).
I don’t know anything about Gianforte. However, I know Johnson has more of a losing track record, although currently holds a PSC seat. He did win narrowly in 2004 (51-49%) for Secretary of State, but he lost reelection by 1% in 2008 to Linda McCulloch (48-49%) with a Constitution Party candidate depriving him of a crucial 2.5%. Johnson attempted a rematch in 2012 against McCulloch, but this time lost by a wider 45-51% margin. He did run for PSC Commissioner in a district (5th) in 2014 and won handily.
Given this record, I’d be willing to give Gianforte a look if he has good attributes.
Let’s hope so.
I don’t hold out that much hope because I saw Carly get destroyed here in CA.
There was a pre strike a while back against Gianforte for not being a declared “CANDIDATE” but soliciting/accepting funds for an exploratory run.
Prior/coinciding, there were attacks for Gianforte being overly religious.
I was surprised at the lack of attack against his financial success
The guy is rich. And he paid his taxes.
What a jerk he must be. //sarc
ooh, you just reminded me of Senator Daines (R) (who also was successful in MT business/tech).
He and Senator Testor (D) both voted AGAINST the omnibus.
Representative Zinke (r)... voted FOR the omnibus bill.
His website said he did so due to the export of oil being lifted.
A few days later on voices of montana, he said it was about/due to getting full funding for veterans/military.
He was questioned about a vote and replied if you don’t like it, vote me out next time.
(bye)
Any Montana FReepers give us info on Gianforte? Is he a tea party member?
Montana has been invaded by libs.
I do not know where Greg Gianforte came from, but he started a tech company called RightNow Technologies (RNT) in the mid to late 90’s in Bozeman, MT.
Steve Daines was a VP there.
Greg Gianforte I believe is a Baptist as he donated lots of money to the Baptist church next to the RNT campus.
RNT was eventually sold to Oracle.
Greg Gianforte, Steve Daines and many others made lots of money on the sale due to stock and options.
I like Steve, I don’t like Greg that much...personal reasons.
Would Greg Gianforte be conservative? I think yes - Montana needs more conservative Republicans let’s see how this incubates...
