Thank you ... any way to make sure an image isn’t a couple of feet wide so it doesn’t mess up the entire thread with tiny, unreadable font?

Yes, use the 'width' parameter.

For example (remember to substitute "<" and ">" for the brackets used in my examples)

Was generated by the command [img src="https://photos.travelblog.org/Photos/63337/546760/f/5655981-Sandy_butts-0.jpg" width=200]

And

Was generated by the command [img src="https://photos.travelblog.org/Photos/63337/546760/f/5655981-Sandy_butts-0.jpg" width=500]

If you have an image that is 2400 pixels wide just use the width command to make it use only 600. That's about the most I use unless I want to make it big.
