A former Victoria's Secret model who traded in her stilettos for boat shoes has become the first female boat owner to win the prestigious Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.

Kristy Hinze-Clark earned herself a place in the record books on Monday after her yacht Comanche crossed the finish line ahead of the rest of the more than 100 boats that began the prestigious event after a bruising two days crossing the Tasman Sea.

By the sound of it, she headed up the race team. Not quite. She was on board, and helped when she could. Not quite the same. Congrats to the race team.

Sailing is a team sport in this case so congrats!

However, I was a very loyal Netscape user and after over a decade AOL closed my Netscape email account. Felt like an eviction.

There was a record company exec who married his secretary and it worked out.

He was 78 and she was 33 and 1/3.

It wasn’t her “stilletos” she traded for boat shoes.

It occurs to me that there are likely a sizeable number of FReepers who have no idea what those numbers mean...

Truly outstanding.

Swim suit $400 retail, made in China for $2.50 - net profit $397.50/unit.

VERY sexy.

1. Get it

2. In this case there is a problem.

Old story: old dude marries young wife, tries to interest her in his activities (in this case, sailing). That causes dissention.

He likes one day calm water regattas, she wants to come back and do the S2H again next year.
