Unintended Consequences: Some years back I saw a video about places in rural India that were replacing the burning of these patties by putting them into methane converters provided by world agencies, who wanted to upgrade their living standards.
The vid showed an Indian woman proudly lighting a two burner gas stove and telling what a wonderful improvement it was.
Then the downside appeared. The lowest caste, who made a living out of collecting/mixing these patties and selling them door to door, saw their business evaporate. I don’t know why they didn’t just shift gears and sell them as processing material, but whatever the reason (the processors used less poop?) they fell on hard times while the people in the next caste up went on to a better life.
The vid hinted, IMO, that it was a zero sum game, as some lived better but a lot more dropped even further down the ladder because of this improvement.
Vegetarian beef patties.
Once shot a fresh ‘flop with a 12 gauge, point-blank. Really made the S fly! Glad the breeze didn’t blow it back on me.
Surely this rates a “dang!”

Ever play ‘cow pasture baseball’?
Use cow pies for the bases and one learns to touch the corners of the bases - naturally not being shod - also when sliding (we were kids) head first slides were not really recommended.
From a BARD
Birdy Birdy in the sky
You who drop whitewash in my eye
Am I sad?
No, Not I
Only glad that cows can’t fly.
Cool song. I like to go up on Youtube and listen to those old songs.
smelling charcoal reminds me of VN

If we/they knew about this, the burning of the ‘pits’ could have been outsourced to India......
“You could brag to your friends that your dung tycoons!”
Hmm, “Dung Tycoon” sounds like it could be the next hit facebook game...
Played lotsa ball on the neighbor kids’ farm 50 years back, but don’t remember any field ‘hazards’ we had to avoid. They did have a BIG hog, if you were quick enough to hop on its back, you’d get a short ride before you slid off due to his rapid acceleration. Bristly old thing... ;)
One of my doctors and her dr husband are from India and the “office grapevine” just discovered that they have 3 full kitchens in their massive home. We know one is for the movie theater for snacks etc., but we don’t know why they have the other two-(they also do not practice any religion)
Could one be a retro-bovine kitchen?
Wouldn’t surprise me as my dr despises the smell of food cooking in the office AND in her home. Odd. The employee break room is practically vacuum sealed and the only time you smell food-even coffee-is when she is out of town.
Wonder if The Food Channel will add a ‘Retro Indian Cooking’ show? After all, it doesn’t get more “green” than cooking with recycled cow crap. ANYTHING is possible; I never thought that someday I would not be allowed to burn my rubbish, but instead, I would be required to sort, measure and even clean my garbage before I put it in the appropriate trash bin...
But Dear Lord-I do Thank You for allowing me to be born in a civilized America where I am Blessed with the nostalgic smells of roasting turkey, baking cookies and burgers sizzling on the grill. Sometimes I don’t realize how Blessed I am until I come to FR and read stuff like this.- Amen.
Or a great name for a band: `Diddy Boone and His Dung Tycoons’.
After all, it doesnât get more âgreenâ than cooking with recycled cow crap.

I am no scientist and don’t even play one on TV BUT if cow fartz are blowing a hole in the ozone or some other foolishness, if people are ‘cooking the cow flops or heating a house etc, wouldn’t all rising smoke cause REAL problems...remember, ‘they’ are saying outdoor grilling is bad for the ozone,
wonder how they handle ‘horse apples’
This has been known for centuries. I see the city folk are finally waking up.
