Whoa! Gowdy sides with Rubio after getting money from Bush Super PAC (Tim Scott next for Rubio?)
News Ninja ^ | 12/27/15 | Wayne Dupress

Everyone that reads this story has to realize the establishment is not going away just because we will it so. They are fighting for their own existence and candidate. GOP candidate Marco Rubio is the establishment candidate right now and everyone needs to settle down and watch how this plays out.

Then I was given this information and was shocked to see that Gowdy earlier in the year, along with Senator Tim Scott had been given money from Jeb Bush super PAC.

From Florida Politics (Jan 2015):

The committee launched by the former Florida governor and prospective 2016 Republican presidential candidate announced on Friday it gave nearly $123,000 in contributions. The largest payments were $10,000 each to the Republican Parties of Florida, Iowa, Nevada and South Carolina, as well as the New Hampshire Republican State Committee - each playing an important role in early presidential primaries for 2016.

-snip-

One thing that does perplex me however, I wonder if Gowdy will return Bush's money to the super PAC. Rumors are that Scott and Governor Nikki Haley will also side with Rubio in the upcoming weeks.

What was Gowdy’s price to endorse Rubio? This shows the lack of character of both of them.

As Bob Heinlein said an honest politician is one who stays bought. Most of the clowns we have in office constantly change to the highest or latest bidder. These filth don’t care about the country one bit.

Gowdy, Issa’s successor-of-coverup, is actually
taking time from his Benghazi coverup, to
reward NO-SHOW Rubio?

Political PACs are rotten to the core. It’s a terrible corrupt way to run an election.

The considerable number of freepers who want to have Gowdy’s baby notwithstanding, I’ve never been overly impressed with Trey Gowdy.

Just another GOP gasbag, IMO; long on theatrics, short on results.

Gowdy has stated he’s leaving the political life. So I think I read some weeks back. Definitely after Hillary testimony.

It’s a good thing too. I’m in his congressional district and I’m not voting for him over his support for Rubio.

He showed so much promise.

No wonder I loved his novels as a kid....

The left and GOPe both fear Trump because every politician in DC has been bought and Trump can’t be bought.

Once again a supposedly solid conservative is bought. This is why no politician can be trusted to do the right thing. Only those who refuse PAC money & money from rich donors are possibly to be trusted. The rest owe a debt to be paid by public money & policy. This is not democracy, it is cronyism.

They should all be abolished. All of this crap and just have individuals donate as much as they want, with full disclosure.

In many past elections, generally the guy with the most money wins. As long as it’s run this way, professional politicians should wear suits similar to NASCAR drivers, so we know who their big corporate sponsors are. This is a terrible way to run an election.

Needs to be said again and again.

Trey Gowdy is the "Magic South Carolina Primary Win" elixir dreamed-up by Karl Rove ..

who also forced Lindsay Graham out of the race ...

Unfortunately, even with Trey Gowdy's endorsement, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump will steamroll over Marco "Amnesty" Rubio like the meteor that killed the dinosaurs ...

Trey Gowdy did not "choose wisely" ... and both Ted Cruz and Donald Trump have VERY long memories ...
