“I have a budget amendment that I’m looking at to take away his executive protection unit. If he’s so afraid of guns, then I’m not going to surround him with armed state policemen.”

Sweet, so sweet,. Let’s see if you carry it out.

Clinton’s Bag Man should never have been Governor.

The VA GOP undermined Cuccinelli to throw the election to McAwful.

I would allow him to keep his protective detail—but the protective detail must be state police officers who volunteer for the assignment and those officers must be prohibited from carrying firearms while on duty. I would also prohibit any member of the executive branch from hiring an armed private protective detail and would void the concealed carry permits of all elected members of the executive branch while they are serving their terms.

My prediction are there will be no police officers willing to serve on such a detail and some of the elected officials will resign—or be caught carrying without a license and end up being removed from office and sent to prison.

How does a bill get passed without the governor’s signature?

Did the AG have actual authority spelled out in existing Virginia law to rescind reciprocity? Are there grounds for a legal challenge if not?

I dont see why the other 25 states should continue to recognize a VA drivers license.

Motorists kill more people than guns each year.

We are told drivng is a privilege, the RKBA is an enumerated guaranteed protected constitutuonal right.

If a state will not recognize other states’ legal issuing of one kind of license, those other states have the same ability to reject that states’ other kinds of licenses too.

If a state rejects other states’ licenses on the grounds of differing standards possibly not matching their own, that argument can be used against them by other states to reject their own licenses.
