Bristol Palin, the daughter of 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has given birth to a second child.
Bristol Palin, who turned 25 in October and is a vocal advocate of sexual abstinence before marriage, tweeted Thursday that her "heart just doubled" at the birth of her new baby girl, Sailor Grace.
Palin announced she was pregnant in June, a few weeks after her engagement to Dakota Meyer , a 27-year-old U.S. Marine who received a 2009 Medal of Honor , was called off after a year-long relationship. Meyer tweeted a photo of the baby girl, too, writing: "Best Christmas present ever!! I couldn't be more proud of this little blessing."
Palin's first pregnancy came when she was 17 in 2008 during Sarah Palin's vice presidential campaign. Tripp, who turns seven this weekend, is the son of Bristol'' previous ex-fiance, Levi Johnson, 25, whom she was with from 2005-10.

That poor kid will get ripped off in terms of birthday presents for the rest of his life. Too close to Christmas.

Doesn’t have to be that way, but December kids often have their birthdays ignored. I was born in December and have lived my whole life without ever having a birthday cake.
I would be willing to bet this little girl will have her birthday celebrated.

I think of her as the girl who made absolutely sure her mother would never be taken seriously again, and is now very pleased with herself about it.
How nice that she’s had a safe delivery and a healthy baby. I wish Bristol and her family the best.
One of my sons was born on December 22. He always gets a birthday cake and birthday presents separate from Christmas.
It’s very trendy right now to name girls “Sailor.” I feel sorry for all of them.

I have never seen such Hate and Vitriol directed towards a New Born Baby like I did last night on Christmas Eve of all nights.
Congrats to the new mom, but I was intensely disheartened by seeing my email inbox today. Just about empty, which is right for Christmas Day, but something from Sarah’s Sarah Pac??? I clicked on it. Really, fundraising on Christmas??? For what? She is a normal citizen, what the heck does she need a Pac for??? I’m horribly disappointed in her.
