How does it end?
It’s kind of a rehash of episodes 4-6, but does so with great relish, talent, and budget. Like it recalls the quip “history doesn’t repeat, but it does rhyme.”
I enjoyed it. Plenty of plot holes if you think about it too much, but seems those are within the director’s normal pattern.
If you haven’t seen it, you don’t want to be in this thread.
Let’s just say there will be episodes 8 & 9.
so, who is snoke? what happen with Han and Leia? and whar about Luke? its going to be a while before i get a chance to see the film.

Is Luke a clone?
Why didnt the pilot come back for his droid and instead went to fly with the resistance? Or told the resistance about the map? It seems like they would have been right on it.
I enjoyed it. It was a real surprise to see Jar Jar Binks return as one of the main characters. I’ll admit I was flabbergasted when he turned out to be Luke’s brother!
Gonna be hard to get used to Han Solo as a woman, though.
Is the rumor true that Kylo Ren is the vindictive love child of Boba Fett and the Sarlacc?

Lot of miscasting. Han’s son looked nothing like he was the offspring of that union. Also hate anything connected to the monstrosity that is the tv series GIRLS.
The black ‘stormtrooper gone rogue’ wasn’t much of an actor and was just ‘the black dude.’ Waste of casting job just to be PC. New girl (who I assume will later be revealed to be a relative of one of our major players) was attractive enough. Bit thick cankles. Wish a younger Keira Knightly had played the part. Would have also prevented it from looking like an AARP commercial.
Overall though, despite the retread plot, was an enjoyable bit of nostalgia. After the disasters of episodes 1-3 was nice to see something that didn’t suck.
I liked the tie in to Harry Potter, with Professor Snape taking on Han Solo. Han should have fired first! My son picked apart all the scientific errors; the main one being that the star would go supernova when the energy was drained from it to the death planet. I felt like I was watching Episode IV, or is it Episode I? The 3D was good, I actually reached out to try to touch the space ship towards the end when it was hovering right in front of my face. I felt old as I remember standing in line when Episode IV came out in ‘77.
I saw the first one 28 times in the theater, bought them on tape and then on laserdisc. I own a few on DVD but I completely burned out on the series. This one looks like eye candy and a great story - for a Star Wars film - but I’ve found that the overall message of the series no longer interests me. I just sort of moved past it. I had the same thing happen when I saw the last Star Trek movie based on “the next generation”. I just could not take it seriously. They looked like actors faking it. Even in the trailers for this one, I got the same feeling.
That being said, I thought Avatar was incredibly lame, but I enjoyed it ONCE in Imax 3D. But I really don’t care about the story. Any more...
But that’s just me. A lot of my friends are really excited.

My kids loved it. It just left me kinda ‘meh’.
They ran out of film?! So, nobody knows how it ends?! Crap! Well, I hope they brought back that goofy guy with the ear thingees.
I enjoyed it. Absolutely hate episodes 1-3, so I was glad they went with the feel of episodes 4-6, which only makes sense since 7 takes place only 30 years later.
Leia looked very, very old, like Solo’s mother. She has not aged well at all.
It was an adventure film that kept you interested with humor added (maybe a little TOO much) to keep it fun.
I tried watching it online, but all I found was a shaky camera bootleg with Spanish dialogue. Guess I’ll rent it for a buck when it comes out. I watched American Sniper on Putlocker the same night it premiered. Oh, well, boo hoo...
I red the spoilers at a movie spoiler site. Looking forward to seeing it. I’ve read a bunch of the books. I expected Cheweie to die not Hans
