Several Republican presidential candidates and party leaders have condemned Donald Trump's call to ban Muslims from entering the United States, but the reaction within conservative media has been mixed.

For Rush Limbaugh, Trump's proposal for a "total and complete shutdown" of Muslims entering the country -- a plan that has been called both unconstitutional and fascist -- amounted to savvy politics.

This was in my INBOX today. The Immigration and Nationality Act passed June 27, 1952 revised the laws relating to immigration, naturalization, and nationality for the United States.

That act, which became Public Law 414, established both the law and the intent of Congress regarding the immigration of Aliens to the US and remains in effect today. Among the many issues it covers, one in particular, found in Chapter 2 Section 212, is the prohibition of entry to the US if the Alien belongs to an organization seeking to overthrow the government of the United States by “force, violence, or other unconstitutional means.”

This, by its very definition, rules out Islamic immigration to the United States, but this law is being ignored by the White House.Islamic immigration to the US would be prohibited under this law because the Koran, Sharia Law and the Hadith all require complete submission to Islam, which is antithetical to the US government, the Constitution, and to the Republic.

I like what Rush said: we are only a week out from a Islamic terrorist attack on American soil, and the entire media is aghast: AT DONALD TRUMP. Donald Trump is aghast at the terror attack, and the millions of people who agree with the attack all over the world, and how to figure out which Muslims wanting to immigrate here might have this same ideology. BUT THE MEDIA IS AGHAST AT DONALD TRUMP.

Can we demand a loyalty oath that refugees all "be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution"?

That would make them (Islamists) all apostates.

Rush is on a rant about the constitutionality of Trump’s recommendation.

I agree that it is Consitutional to exclude foreigners on any basis we, congress or the president want.

However, U.S. Citizens who happen to be returning muslims can’t be excluded on the same basis. There cannot be a religious test for returning Americans, I don’t think.

I just heard that.

He was saying the liberals are saying “There is no law to support what Donald Trump is saying” except there is a law, and it is liberals who stepped in it, by saying this.
