Cancer Loves Sugar CBS 60 Minutes April 2012

Sobering report. If you have cancer, you should avoid sugar of any kind. If you don't want cancer, I suggest that you limit your sugar intake. Avoid "high fructose corn syrup", and processed sugars. If you want to lose weight, avoid things that quickly become sugar (white breads, potato, rice, alcohol, etc). Reducing these things has a major impact on your liver and pancreas. Eat lots of green things!

Nutritional Health Series, Part 59

Cancer Loves Sugar CBS 60 Minutes April 2012

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJGS3jdjJGE

This video is one in a series of videos and websites which are being posted on FreeRepublic in the coming days in regard to nutritional health. In the beginning these videos were being posted as a rebuttal to an article and comments in another posted article on FreeRepublic remarking on obesity. Due to the strong interest in obesity and nutritional health as it relates to Type II Diabetes, the videos relating to Type II diabetes and how to reverse the progression of the disease are being moved forward among the other video topics in this series. Expect to see a mixture of videos regarding the role of carbohydrates in the diet and their relationship to nutritional health topics ranging from metabolic syndrome and Diabetes to dementia, Parkinson's Disease, Altzheimer's Disease, and more. The effects of standard government sponsored diets, health association diets, and alternative diets upon everyday nutrition, sports nutrition, and diabetic nutrition will be mixed in with videos focused on the use of various low carbohydrate and high fat (LCHF) diets, such as the ketogenic diets as a treatment for Type II Diabetes.

Anyone who is interested in following this series of posts about nutritional health is invited to request a ping.

The funny thing about this is that it is probably total BS.

I come from France. I am 58. Been here 30 years. My family in France of my parents age who are between 80-90 all ate what would be considered the worst diet ever meat, cold cuts, pastries, fatty sauces, bread, cookies, chocolate, butter, lard, and tons of sugar etc.

And they show no signs of dying. This makes me very leery of all this crap.

hey whiskey. I know sugar causes diabetes especially in the obese. What the heck happened to me. You know I lost 100 pounds but I was at 400 for about 6 years. Just the genes? because I was semi athletic at least until 35? Now 47. I’m just wondering. acquaintances I know that are that heavy are falling apart with diabetes swollen ankles and a million other things. I guess I just got lucky. But the weight is beginning to weigh on my legs and knees.

CBS is your source for health information?? Do you go to your doctor for vehicle maintenance too?

Little knowledge for ya: Your body cannot live without sugar, or salts, or fats.

Come on... Really ?

I quit smoking pot years ago
Then drinking to excess
Finally got chasing wild women under control
Then quit smoking cigarettes
Haven’t had a speeding ticket in 15 years
I even say excuse me no matter what gas I pass

I’m basically down to cookies and milk and ice cream

Almost old enough to start wetting my pants

Can you please stop it with the guilt trips ?

Appreciate your input, I cut out sugar, refined flour and processed foods after a diagnosis of diabetes Type 2. Lost more than a stone in weight and diabetes totally under control.
No medication, just doing what is best for the body, and anyone can do it.

Oh, dear. The Irish should have avoided the potato when it was discovered to be the only cash crop that actually grew in their soil. They would have died easy of starvation rather than cancer.

The funny thing about this is that it is probably total BS.

I'm convinced that cancer is largely genetic, with a heavy dose of high levels of carcinogens as a big factor (smoking.)

I, too, know a lot of the "Greatest Generation" who LOVE sweets and fatty foods - I think these foods were even much WORSE in the post-WWII years. These folks are in their 80's and going pretty strong, cancer free.
