I absolutely lost it when I read this part. I'm glad I was at home...

I'm at work and I'm afraid I lost it myself. I'm a staffer at a university and had to share this one. There wasn't one individual, conservative or liberal that didn't lose it.

Your life is going to suck once you leave college and have to get a real job. And one day you're going to be sitting at your desk thinking, "Why was I such a goddamn loser in college? I should have been having the time of my life and instead I was busy writing about fake hate poop."

That's what the old memory hole is for, which is where they've tried to dump it. Pity that once it hits the Internet, it's immortal.

Second piece of advice, I'm a double Vandy alum. If you think Vandy sucks then your life is going to suck beyond belief once you leave campus. Seriously. You have no idea of the hell that is coming your way. Right now all you have to do is go to class for 15 hours a week. You can eat and sleep as much as you want. You have abundant sex partners. People are incredibly nice to you. The grading scale is cake. You live in a country club bubble where there's always a pick-up basketball, soccer or ultimate frisbee game going on, alcohol is easy to find, parties are plentiful. And you're still bitching? You're in for a world of hurt, kids.

I think that was what finished us. The guy printing that out right now says he's not going to narc me out but I think it's headed for a bulletin board somewhere real close...

The funny thing is all my life I was taught that society downed on anyone who did not go to college the opposite is happening, society does not care if you are a college grad or not anymore unlike back then, maybe HR but thats it.

Hey, I have a college degree in business. Spent some time in the masters program and even spent a year in law school before I was drafted and joined the military. I've used my degree about half of my life in careers where it either helped getting a job or helped in doing a job. But the rest of the jobs I've had didn't require a college degree.

My wife and I both have college degrees but when we retired, we moved to Florida to the farm and raise beef cattle. No degree required. The cows don't care what our resumes say.

A college degree is only another notch on your pistol grip. It is not an end all to end all.
