perhaps I’m just an old man but I cannot fathom the enthusiasm for watching women fight.
I used to like watching the UFC fights, but once they brought in women fighters, I’ve just tuned them out. I’m waiting for them to bring in midget wrestling and dwarf tossing next. That being said, I’ve always thought she was overrated, and glad the socialist supporting little twit got her backside handed to her.
Maybe that kick in the head will correct the problem she seems to have with her political ideology.

Sometimes one fighter just has a bad day - but Rousey just looked completely unprepared for her opponent. She entered the octagon expecting to be able to phone in another routine one round victory.
As of 1 July this year, all UFC fighters are subject to random drug testing, in or out of competition. Rousey has been tested for years because of her participation in judo. She says she welcomes the new policy, but who knows. Tiger Woods said the same thing, and he was/is a major doper. Rousey looked soft and not in fighting shape. Her taller opponent looked kinda manly and too cut for a female (think Martina Navratilova).
A culture that regards women fighting as “entertainment” is headed down the last circle of the toilet.

As far as the “fight” went, Rousey looked like someone brought in straight off the the street who didn’t have a clue what to do.
Rousey’s million dollar “trainers”, with their ridiculous punching mitts, are completely incompetent.
In boxing a fighter with a normal stance has the left leg and the left arm forward. The forward left arm is used to jab and sometimes to hook (a heavier punch). But the straight right hand is the basic heavier punch for a normal stance fighter.
Everything is reversed for a southpaw fighter who has the right foot and right hand in front—and who uses the right hand to jab and whose heaviest punch is a straight left hand.
The first rule for a normal stance fighter fighting a southpaw (who has right foot and hand in front) is never throw a right hand to the body from long range-because you would be leaving your head wide open to your southpaw opponent’s heaviest punch—his straight left hand—which he is poised and waiting to throw.
Rousey’s so-called ‘trainers’ didn’t even tell her she was fighting a southpaw.
They didn’t even tell her to watch her opponent’s left hand.
Clueless Rousey stepped directly into into her southpaw opponent’s heaviest punch (straight left hand) repeatedly.
It was not a jab, but the heaviest punch her opponent could throw. It landed repeatedly on Rousey’s mouth and chin.
If this million dollar crap had been a gym workout, any experienced trainer would have stopped it after one or two such punches and explained to Rousey what is involved in fighting a southpaw. And that she had a lot of work to do before she would be ready to take on an experienced southpaw.
Of course they would not have put her in the ring with an experienced southpaw to start with until they educated her on what was involved.
Not one blowhard “commentator” mentioned the above—which would be obvious at a glance to anyone competent in the subject.
Rousey was badly winded before the first round was over. Yet she trains?
Rousey was knocked out by a kick to the neck—not the head.
Rousey had just slipped down with her back to her opponent after getting hit on the chin with yet another straight left hand.
Her opponent put her hand on Rousey’s lower back and turned her around, helping as Rousey straightened up and turned to face her.
The opponent put her right arm on Rousey’s shoulder to hold her in place as she (the opponent) lifted her left leg high with the knee bent so that the heel of her foot was touching her own bottom. Then from that position she snapped her leg open from the knee, landing with her shin on the side of Rousey’s neck. Rousey was knocked out and fell hard, with the side of her head bouncing hard off the canvas.
Rousey looked very bad once she was up minutes later, with her head hanging forward, her eyes at the floor and all the muscles of her face collapsed, drooping downward.
Experienced boxing people (there are none left) would call this a “mismatch” that should never have taken place.
Once again, a society that regards the repulsive spectacle of women fighting as entertaining is headed down the tubes.

Yeah, I was curious. But then I watched the video. It simply made me uncomfortable. Not judging others, and if they way want to beat the crap out of each other...that’s fine.
Everybody’s got to make a living I suppose.
