Matt Barnes Drove 95 Miles to ‘Beat the (Tar)’ Out of Derek Fisher
New York Post ^

Knick coach Derek Fisher was attacked in Los Angeles by NBA bad boy Matt Barnes, who drove 95 miles to “beat the s—t out of him” when he found out Fisher was romancing his estranged wife, sources told The Post on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-7 Barnes, who now plays for the Memphis Grizzlies, made a fast break from his team’s California training camp Saturday when he was tipped off that Fisher was making time with sultry “Basketball Wives LA” star Gloria Govan in the home Barnes once shared with her.

Looks like this super hottie chose class over sass. That animal Barnes isn’t fit to raise twin pit bulls, let alone humans.

When I read this kind of stuff I always wonder how much of this kind of stuff went on in years back before the media and police started getting involved with everything.

Was that a typo? Was the “a” supposed to be an “i “?

If my estranged wife was doing it with someone while my young boys were in the house, they would probably need to dig two graves, because neither of those idiots have any sense or class. And I won't lose my boys to a man or woman who will whore around like that.

You’d merely lose them to the state as a murderer. Okay, makes sense.

Not if you had prepared well before hand. You can write a will or assign guardians in cases where parents both die. We travel extensively around the world and I set up guardianship with another family many years ago for our children.

You’d really teach them a lesson!

Has nothing to do with "teaching" them a lesson. If neither the wife or the male involved care enough about the children to at least try to hide their activities, then there would be nothing worse than leaving them in their care. I would rather my children be in a home I have chosen for them, than to be in a house with a revolving door to her bedroom.

And I would back that up with my actions.

I think your children might be better off with a father who is present, in control of his emotions rather than ruled by them, and who can model proper behavior, rather than one who models murder and way-below-average logical thinking. But that's just me.

Are you trying to say that the man she was committing adultery with was modeling proper behavior and was in control of his emotions? Really?

He isn't their father. And in your personalized scenario that you were commenting upon, you are the real father. You are apparently trying to say that because your ex-wife and her lover are living together that it gives you license to murder and that somehow that is a really good example to set.

I mean, after so many exchanges with you on this, I feel like you and OJ Simpson are somehow related. Wouldn't he applaud your reasoning?

Actually, if a man is trying to take your wife and children, that used to be grounds for self-defense killing. Defending my family from an outside force trying to break it up.

And that is the second time you have attacked me personally.

Actually, if a man is trying to take your wife...
She is not his wife. She is his ex-wife. She did not file for divorce from him. He filed for divorce from her because he started dating a pop star. From the article linked in this thread:
"LA court records show Barnes filed for divorce in January. In August, he claimed that he had been dating pop star Rihanna and that they’d gone 'past the crush stage,' but she denied it on Instagram."

http://nypost.com/2015/10/07/matt-barnes-attacks-knicks-coach-fisher-for-dating-ex-wife/

There is no great righteous example he is trying to set here for his children. His example for his children and how important they were and how sacred their home is to him was indelibly set when he cheated on her and filed for divorce.
and children
Derek Fisher was not trying to take his children. There is no indication of that. There was indication that Derek was dating his ex-wife that he had cheated on and filed for divorce many months ago.
...that used to be grounds for self-defense killing. Defending my family from an outside force trying to break it up.
If someone breaks into your home against your will your point is valid. Derek Fischer was apparently invited into her home by her. There has never been a law condoning murdering, or even beating up, someone who was invited into another adult's home by the adult who owns the home. Any jury in America for all time in our history will not take 20 minutes to return a guilty conviction if this guy had totally lost it and murdered Derek Fisher.
