Mark Levin: ‘Ted Cruz is the Most Consistently Conservative Candidate Running’
PJ Media ^ | 10-01-2015 | Michael van der Galien

Mark “The Great One” Levin had some kind words to say about Ted Cruz:

“Ted Cruz is the most consistently conservative candidate running.”

The conservative talker also blasted Mitch McConnell, the Republican Majority Leader in the Senate who recently shut down Ted Cruz when he used his time on the Senate floor to educate voters about the deceptive games McConnell and his ilk play.

“Today we have a guy by the name of Mitch McConnell [...]. He’s got no class whatsoever. And he gets this really sick joy in trying to control the Senate floor within his own caucus. Harry Reid can do whatever he wants, Chuck Schumer can say and do whatever he wants, and all the rest of that [group] of leftwing cooks can do and say whatever they want. Barack Obama runs circles around Mitch McConnell and Republicans in the Senate. But he literally spends hours organizing the Republican caucus to shut down Ted Cruz. Because for Mitch McConnell it’s not about the country, it’s not about the Constitution, it’s personal.

“And Cruz has done more to expose that man and expose the cronyism and corruption of the United States Senate and that process than anybody else in the United States Senate.”

And so, Levin explained, McConnell has decided to block each and every single attempt of the senator from Texas to get anything worthwhile done.

Levin went on to say that Cruz “comes under attack” for the simple reason that he’s actually a principled conservative.

“Kasich won’t come under attack, because he’s a go-along. Bush won’t come under attack, he’s a go-along. We don’t want a go-along, we need leaders, we need the Churchills and the Thatchers and the Reagans.”

And, clearly, the Cruzes of this world.

Levin also went after Rand Paul, saying...

The tolerant, compassionate progressives hate Ted the way they hated President Reagan.

And yes, I do literally mean hate. Hate is the juice that fuels progressives.

The only thing they hate more than conservatives is conservatives who won’t sit down and shut up when told to do so.

A thread with some solid Cruz info.

I really like Ted Cruz, a lot, but I get put off by his delivery. It’s so polished and smooth, like a politician or a car salesman, complete with stock facial expressions and hand gestures. I REALLY like what he has to say, but when I see him SAY it, I cringe a bit.

I've been watching this game play out over the past few elections with both republican'ts and Democraps playing. They block and hobble everything a conservative tries to do only to turn around at election time and declare that the conservative candidate has done nothing during their time in office.

Cruz is one of the only people in Washington fighting for us, and actually doing what he said he would do if elected.

God Bless Cruz!

Except on immigration. Somebody has his balls in a vice on that.

But for many reasons is not resonating with anyone that will vote for him in great numbers. He might even be at this point a poor choice to have as VP, Carson looking the better one. Ted would be great as in the SCOTUS.

Yeah, that is a huge problem. He needs to learn to let loose a bit.

Wait and see. Senator Cruz is the sleeper in this race, and he has raised more money than anyone else.

Soundest most consistent Conservative and Constitutionalist, but judgment lapses suggest he should maybe not be in the top spot on a Republican ticket. I would love to see him as Trump’s nr. 2. Trump is needed for his bull-in-a-china-shop abilities but he needs that Constitutional anchor that Cruz would provide, and W WIlliams or T Sowell at Treasury. I would love to see Carson at HUD except I would much prefer that Trump abolish HUD- and EP, (and the DOEs, etc.).

I like Ted Cruz. I’d be happy with Cruz or Trump and possibly Carson.

I like the guy, and he was my choice before Trump...but not now. He needs to apprentice with Trump and then run next time.

I'm from New York -- born and raised. Trump has been great for New York. I'm not sure he's a consistent conservative. His support for Kelo, among other things, dsiturbs me.

We’ve got a lot of FReepers who won’t vet their own candidate yet have all kinds of “concerns” about Cruz. You won’t hear them voicing the same concerns when their candidate’s support things like ethanol subsidies or consistently backtracking and changing direction.

Um, let me remind you that Eric Cantor outspent Dave Brat 10-1 and lost. Money doesn’t equate votes.

Wait until the other candidates collapse. As I said, Cruz is the sleeper here.

Ditto. I was a huge Cruz supporter, and still am, but after time, noticed he needed more experience in leadership. So, I think he would be a great VP or AG.
