I hear ya. I always decide whether I’m going to openly agree or disagree with an actor based upon the size of his package.

All of us superficial people know what counts :)

kidding.

Reminds me of German-born Diane Kruger.

When Kruger became a USA citizen she handed out squirt guns at the after-ceremony party because “Americans love their guns.”

Then, about a year later, she said she would live in Paris year round if she did not have to work.

No clue who she is, but I suggest she go back from whence she came and as we say here in the South, “don’t let the screen door hit you as you go.”

“I became an American citizen recently, and that night, we watched the Republican debate, and I thought, ‘This was a terrible mistake. What have I done?’” she recently told the Hollywood Reporter.

Reverse the terrible mistake. Give up your US citizenship and get lost.

Never heard of her before this thread, but now that I have, I look forward to cheerfully ignoring her work until I forget ever reading her name.

So. You lied then, Emily?

I’d say the bigger issue is her admitting she didn’t mean what she said as part of her citizenship oath. And, I’m not sure why she would call that “typically American” and it isn’t clear if she was talking about her lie or the oath itself (which, obviously, would be ‘typically American’). Sadly and perversely, it seems at least some (or perhaps many?) people are only becoming citizens as a matter of some convenience, and not because they really want to be Americans.

I think we all have those "favorite places to live if money wasn't a problem." Mine is Traben-Trarbach, a beautiful town on the Mosel River. I lived there for 4 years during my tour in Germany.

But only if Emily Blunt is important to you. I honestly don’t know who she is.

"Plus I think he is a Republican"

Nah....he's a big Dem. I've read several books about Jordan. He's just savvy enough to realize offending people with different political beliefs who purchase items he plugs is not a smart business move.

*yawn* There is no adjective in the English language to describe how little I care about this useless "star." Maybe she can open the gates up on her estate and let some illegals camp on here lawn.

I’ve seen her in “The Devil Wears Prada”, which I’ve watched a few times, but that’s all.

My point was - Kruger became a USA citizen because America has lower tax rates than Germany and France, and because she earns almost all her income from USA films and TV.

If she loves Paris and wants to live there all year, maybe she should just accept roles in typically low paid French movies (she speaks fluent French) and pay much higher French taxes.

And, since a primary political goal of America’s Socialist Left is to confiscate real guns from law abiding citizens, I did not find her “squirt gun” idea amusing.

She is kinda ok pretty, takes her clothes off in movies and is married to the guy from the US version of The Office tv show.

Not a good analogy with the Vichy Chix.

The Chix were a Country group. When they dissed Bush they ticked off 95% of their audience base.

This girl is a mainstream movie actress. Her audience demographics are very different.

Understand...good post. Amazing how many well-paid entertainers are not as “civic minded” as they try to appear. lol
