The piece of wing found on the shore of Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean has been formally identified as part of the wreckage of Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, the Paris prosecutor said on Thursday.
The part, known as a flaperon, was found on the shore of the French-governed island on July 29 and Malaysian authorities have said paint color and maintenance-record matches proved it came from the missing Boeing (BA.N) 777 aircraft.
The French prosecutor, who had until Thursday's statement been more cautious on its provenance, said a technician from Airbus Defense and Space (ADS-SAU) in Spain, which had made the part for Boeing, had formally identified one of three numbers found on the flaperon as being the serial number of the MH370 Boeing 777.

You truly believe they’re capable of such a thing? I mean it took them how long to figure out the wing was from the missing plane even though it was verified from the same type of airliner? I mean, it’s not like there were a bunch of them unaccounted for in that region of the ocean, or anywhere else in the world for that matter.

I’m no oceanologist, but I think that it’s pretty routine. We do track the currents, after all, so we have all the data we need.
Might be a lot of data crunching to do, but it seems like the job would be tedious rather than difficult.
They flatly said two days ago the flapper did not come from the plane. I smell a rat. They want to end this investigation now so all the sudden it’s the “real thing”. BS.
The conspiracy nutjobs who say Al Qaeda hijacked it to use for a later mission will only say that they removed this part, replaced it and fixed the aircraft with a new one and then planted the original part on Reunion island to throw off suspicion.
And also, WHY WASN’T THIS PART IMMEDIATELY SENT TO BOEING IN AMERICA instead of FRANCE? That’s a huge stinking RAT the size of an elephant in the room!

Did a google search (albeit very quickly) and could not find anything as you have suggested above, that it did not come from the plane.
Saw a reference to a science writer who suggested it could not have floated over there, but nothing from the French.
Don’t forget that we’re dealing with a muzzie pilot, muzzie co-pilot and that the plane was owned by muzzies. what is so inscrutable about the whole affair?
