Didn’t know they were still recording, as Nicko runs a restaurant around the corner from me.

(He’s a fun guy, and quite nice, BTW! LOL)

“Speed of Light” is good too..

But honestly.. none of their newer stuff is anywhere near “Number of the Beast” quality.

“Fear of the Dark” was the turning point I think.

Wow! They suck now!

That's not Iron Maiden. See the comments below the "video." I'm off to jab a few q-tips in my ears now. With any luck, they'll impale my brain and I won't have to remember hearing that... that... tripe. No, that's too kind.

Yup. It’s really sad what has happened to our culture over the past few decades. Just about everything sucks today, including cartoons. Can’t stand the new cars, with the exception of the retro Mustangs and VW Bugs (except the last couple years when they started flattening them out). The new TV shows are the worst. That ridiculously stupid Modern Family is horrible. Yet it apparently won some awards as most popular sitcom today, several years in a row!

I gotta put my support in for Brave new world. Thin Line Between Love and Hate is just f’ing awesome. I don’t know what it is but that album just does it for me.

IMO they generally got their groove back when The air raid siren returned but yea, not as good as the first era overall.

Of course absolute terrible Maiden is better than the absolute best of any metal band.

They still have the fire to record. Their manager told the band not to make any plans for the next two years, so they will be going out on the road.

Who knew that at some point in the past that they didn’t suck?

OK, that’s not fair as it is an expression of a personal opinion. None of the bands in the genre Iron Maiden finds itself in do anything for me at all.

Anything like that is not the official song. Looking at the side bar, there’s tons of videos like that, purporting to be “official songs.”

*This is official.

Well, the restaurant is doing well, so I am sure it will survive Nicko’s absence for a while! LOL!

Maiden have gotten more progressive from Brave New World in 2000 on. It’s incredible that they’re still recording. There’s lots of bands from that era who still try to do things, but should’ve packed it in a while ago. Look at Motley Crue. They’re doing a farewell tour. Maiden are older, are about to release a new album next year, and will tour for two years starting next year.

At least that show has Ed O’Neill.

They’re hosting two listening parties on Sept 3rd, the day before The Book of Souls is released.

At least that show has Ed O’Neill.

But his character is lifeless. Nothing like on Married With Children.
