Cruz has ALWAYS spoken out boldly. He’s been fighting the GOPe and dems almost by himself from the first day he arrived in D.C.

100%! Cruz is definitely fighting the fights that NO ONE else on Capitol Hill will fight.

Trump is dealing the actual knock out blows, that Cruz hasn’t/cannot (due to being a sitting Senator?).

Yes...the PP mention was, unfortunately - due to time constraints - skimmed over. That needs to go viral....by Cruz’ team.

Any day the GOPe feels pain is a good day for America.

Trump doesn’t have to win us over totally on every issue. He just needs to show us he’ll fight for what he believes

I'd research his position on several areas, including mostly social issues, (plus being a significant Clinton supporter) before making such a bold statement like that.

No, he hasn’t.

I wish I could agree and say he has always spoken out, but he has gone silent after his TPA debacle.

I love Ted Cruz, he is the candidate that I support and intend to vote for, but I will speak honestly about mistakes I think he has made that have hurt him.

TPA support was a serious mistake, however, I choose to forgive him on that. No one is perfect.

What he is doing now and today on Rush’s show is what he needs to continue to do if he wishes to regain the support he has lost.

America needs a fighter. A real damn good fighter. Put the gloves on and get to hittin’.

Yes. I don’t agree with any of these guys 1000% but I just want to elect one that will at least try his best to accomplish something.

I agree with you on Trump. To me, he sees the opportunity and is acting like an opportunist. How a real conservative could give a nickel to Hillary is beyond me.

Maybe so, but for now, he is working for our advantage by setting the table for Cruz. So let him be useful.

Cruz gave McConnell ‘the benefit of the doubt’, even though his staff warned against it? Cruz’s words.

Cruz in not yet Presidential material.

As long as Trump fights for what conservatives believe, I don't particularly care what he believes.

We don't have to take at face value what he is saying, but is there any doubt he is raising some important issues that others have ignored?

You’re playing trivial pursuit while Trump is out there risking it all to wake up US citizens. We’re not going to have ANYTHING if the US isn’t saved.

From Cruzs book......

On leadership corruption and sellout......

That Tuesday lunch began with our leadership saying, “We’re asking every Republican senator here, to affirmatively consent to lower the threshold for Harry Reid to take up the debt ceiling, from 60 votes to 50 votes. And we were told, everyone of you should agree for two reasons.

Number one, if we do this, it will happen, and hallelujah, hallelujah, that’s what we want. We want trillions more in debt with no spending reforms, because we’re scared of this issue. We don’t want to have a political fight on this.

But number two, if we do this, the Democrats will have the votes to do it on their own, which means all of us Republicans can vote no. And we can go home and tell our constituents, we opposed the thing we just consented to allow happen.

Now, I was sitting there — to be honest, I hadn’t gone to lunch intending to pick a fight, but as I listened to that, I was astonished and I raised my hand, and I said, “There’s no universe in which I can consent to doing that. I spent two years campaigning across Texas, telling Texas, if you elect me, I’ll fight with every breath in my body to stop the out of control spending and debt that are bankrupting our kids and grandkids.”

If were to do that, I think it would be both dishonest and unfaithful to the men and women who elected me.

Bet the citizens of Troy saying similar things when that nice Greek horse showed up at the gate.

Ted’s calculus may be that TPA in the hands of a conservative president would be a great thing.

That’s flawed thinking, in my point of view. Naïve, really.

In Cruz's defense and I have been a critic of him.

Mitchy and Bonehead are the most utterly corrupt amoral serial liars and downright Evil men ever to hold Gop leadership roles in my lifetime.

I am stunned by how evil and the deep seated contempt the Gop leaders have for the USA and it's voters.

These two belong in a federal prison for racketeering and treason.
