I wonder how they’d feel if some conservative town set up a sanctuary city where the federal laws they love so much were ignored. Say sanctuary from OSHA, EPA, gun background checks, the ACA, etc. I’d love to hear how they would react to that.

I agree with you in part.

The SF sanctuary argument is that they have no LEGAL reason to hold someone in jail JUST because some Govt. agency calls and tells them to do so... WITHOUT a court order or warrant.

The Feds are at fault for not getting the documentation to require holding a prisoner.

That said, I completely disagree with the whole sanctuary city/state thing. There are laws against aiding and abetting criminals and, since most cities can’t be sued, Fed taxpayer funds should be withdrawn from such places.

I can’t remember who originally agreed to write it. They’re trying to write it so sit leaves very little wiggle room.

I think it was Tuesday evening that O’Rielly said he had tons of signatures supporting the Kate Law. He said he had been talking with several members in Congress about it and was planning to go before a committee in Congress to discuss the whole thing.
