Incorrect. Many states, such as Virginia, do not allow write-in on presidential ballots.

If thats the case, I would tend to believe there are other options like Constitution Party or other 3rd party candidates that are on the ballot who are -—provably-— more conservative than a Trump/Jeb type. Because I refuse to accept there are only Dem/GOP choices on any ballot in America.

“The media is promoting Trump. Buyer beware.”

Trump is PERFECTLY CAPABLE of promoting himself. He doesn’t need their help.

“I’m for Cruz but must admit i’m really enjoying Trump.”

I’m with you. Trump isn’t even a threat to Cruz, so I don’t know why Cruz’s supporters are so panicked. Trump is in the process of OUTING the RINOs and that can only lead to good things. Even Rush was waffling when he heard Rubio’s kick-off speech about how great it is to be an American and such. And then Rush seemed to start buying into Rubio’s excuses about how his Amnesty plan in 2013 was really a trick to get the Democrats to stick their necks out (even though it was one House Primary [Cantor’s] from being on Obama’s desk).

If Trump can cause Rubio and others like him to show their TRUE COLORS to Rush and others in the base, then he’s the BEST THING this party ever had...and we just may well get Cruz, once all the trash is disposed of.

“And he’s completely untrustworthy.”

Maybe so, but RIGHT NOW he’s doing more than Cruz, Walker, or any other conservative to CLEAR THE FIELD of RINOs. So I’ll take it one day at a time...if my phone rings this year, I’m saying Trump. If it rings next year, it’s Cruz.

You do understand that NONE OF THOSE ISSUES will matter in 10 years if we elect a RINO that immediately naturalizes 30 Million new Democrats?

If Trump can clear out those RINOs, he has my support, for now. He’ll never be the nominee...but he may just clear the field for Cruz.

Cruz doesn’t need a field cleared for him.

“Cruz doesn’t need a field cleared for him.”

Given his almost-perfect conservative credentials, I figured he’d be in the lead by now, rather than in the middle (at best).

He does need some help, and THANKFULLY, he’s finally getting it.

Good thing the media is busy talking about Trump’s idiot ass all the time.

As long as Cruz stays with him on border security, Cruz will lead the pack. Eventually most conservatives will realize that Trump is a blowhard...and go to Cruz, but only if Cruz knows enough to NOT join the pack in pandering to Illegals - and I do think he knows that.

No, I think his appeal is that he is making non-PC statements and then not backing down when the left whines and complains. That is what conservatives are hungry for. It’s what made Newt Gingrich attractive to many.

Is he presidential material? Heck, no! He’s a showman and an attention addict. But he makes people feel better when he’s saying some of the things they would like to say to the left.

Rudy Giuliani did the same snarling at the press, speaking tough against crime and making the occasional un-pc comment about muslims and a certain segment of the right loved it. But Rudy was a gun grabber pro-abort liberal in every other area just like Trump isn’t a true conservative. Just hope the base wakes up to this fact before they waste their vote on this guy and allowing Jeb to squeak though the primaries with a victory.

Normally, I may agree with you, but Trump’s position is costing him. Where is the logic there?

Agreed, but a lot of what Trump is saying is resonating because middle America is tired of the BS being shoveled by both parties and the media on top of them. Cruz can benefit from this by simply saying the same things Trump is but not using the same language. Right now all the candidates are looking out for everyone but the average American citizen someone who speaks for them and comes out fighting for the silent majority will win big. Cruz could do this.

His stance against free speech makes him dog meat to me.

Trump has discovered that all he has to do is be a tough talking take no prisoners type of guy and throw out a few platitudes about making America great again and that’s enough to sucker more than a few on the right into supporting him. The rest of us however know better and see right through this clown.

Every Republican contender out there supports a global, one world gov't with a global one world work force, a workforce without borders except for Cruz and Trump...And I'm not so sure about Cruz at this point...

For some of us and apparently many, many of us we are finding out since Trump entered the race, our numbers are huge...What we have lacked for years is a National Voice...

There is nothing more important for this Country of States to hold on to its national Sovereignty which is quickly slipping away...The Constitution and Sovereignty top EVERY issue, every Party...THOSE things first...Party, second...

We are not ignorant of who Trump is...Quite the contrary...
