Elections have consequences - we were warned
June 26, 2015 | Self

This is exactly why, when conservatives sit on the sideline awaiting the 100% pure candidate, we damage ourselves. Election have consequences and this is one - the ability to select Supreme Court Justices who will sit for life. Look at the ages of Obama's picks - 55 and 61. They are not going anywhere for years.

Abortion, gay marriage, assaults upon Christianity... and we dare to sing God Bless America. Why would he bless us when we spit in his eye.

Do you know that Governor Romney appointed zero conservative judges, and that only (exactly) 25% of his judge appointments were even members of the republican party?

We need a REAL conservative willing to go to the matresses at this point.

I could fix this country in less than a month if I were president.

Four of the worst Justices in last 35 years were appointed by Reagan, Bush, and Bush 43.

Kennedy
OConner
Souiter
Roberts

Nobody “waited on the sidelines.” We just refused to vote for another liberal Democrat who called himself a “Republican.”

Incidentally, we would have seen this same outcome with Romney in the WH. Yes, that election would have similarly had consequences.

I pulled the lever for both McCain and Romney as the lesser evil. I have no illusion either would have prevented this week of disasters. There are no pure candidates this time. Every one of them has at least one issue. Some, however, are acceptable candidates. You can tell those as they will be the ones the GOP insures are not there at the end of the process.

FLASH!! The US election system is a scam, or is that a sham? Which ever, it’s rigged.

Plenty of blame to go around.

The low-info voter and the millions of conservatives that sat 2008 and 2012 out.

Last time I looked, Kennedy and Roberts were nominated by Republican presidents.

Do not do what your opponent wants you to do. Liberals very much want conservatives to sit on the sidelines if the eventual GOP nominee is not "pure" enough.

Therefore, do not do that.

DISCLAIMER: I have sat on the sidelines many a time. But these latest Supreme Court decisions have got me rethinking the wisdom of that.

conservatives sit on the sideline awaiting the 100% pure candidate,

This lie must stop. We demand a track record of moving the political football toward the conservative goalpost. Romney and McCain have a record of fighting against conservatives. So they lost. Nominate a RINO and it will happen again.

The lesser evil you champion is still evil.

Nonsense, this only proves ONCE AGAIN that the GOP is DEAD.

Conservatives cannot go another minute being diluted and marginalized by the GOP.

Nah. You can’t get a Con Justice through 60 votes (and ain’t nobody messing with THAT filibuster requirement). And any “moderate” judge (all that gets through) would have ruled the same way.

And I don’t need 100% Conservative but I am STILL never gonna vote for Jeb. Consequences be damned.

And Kennedy was nominated by Reagan so ... there ya go.

What's the alternative to the GOP? No third party has any realistic chance of having significant power for the foreseeable future.
